Recently, she wrapped production on Thumb, a dark comedy from director Daina Oniunas-Pusić, where she stars alongside Milly Alcock, Kate McKinnon, and Sofia Vergara. Additionally, she voices a role in Wildwood, the upcoming stop-motion animated feature from Laika and director Travis Knight, which releases this October.

Additionally, from 2020 to 2023, she co-created, wrote, executive produced, and starred in the series Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens for Comedy Central.
In television, Lum also stars in and exec produces The Unlikely Cook with Awkwafina, an eight-episode unscripted series for Apple TV, in which she traces her family’s culinary legacy through contemporary Asian American cuisine across the country.
In 2024, Lum won an Emmy for Outstanding Television Movie for producing the 20th/Hulu comedy Quiz Lady, where she starred opposite Sandra Oh. She continues to be represented by Artists First and Isaac Dunham at Schreck Rose Dapello.
