Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender is a fantasy series created by Albert Kim. The show reimagines the critically acclaimed Nickelodeon series. The story centers on characters who are known as “benders,” who possess the ability to control their elements through superpowers.
Netflix has released the latest trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2, offering fans an action-packed preview of the next chapter in the live-action adaptation of the original animated series of the same name. The first-look teases battles in both physical combat and superpowers as the war rages on throughout the Earth Kingdom.
The trailer shows Aang and his allies continuing their mission after the dramatic events at the Northern Water Tribe. As tensions rise around the world, the group heads toward Ba Sing Se in hopes of getting help to fight Fire Lord Ozai and the Fire Nation's army. Several clips hint at conflicts among the four nations and major battles for the upcoming season.
Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 follows Aang as he continues learning how to master the four elements, Water, Earth, Fire, and Air, in order to restore balance to the world. According to the official synopsis, Aang and his friends set out on a mission to convince the elusive Earth King to join their fight.
Returning cast members for the new chapter of Avatar: The Last Airbender include Gordon Cormier (Aang), Kiawentiio (Katara), Ian Ousley (Sokka), and Dallas Liu (Zuko). The season will also feature Miyako (Mai), Elizabeth Yu (Azula), Momona Tamada (Ty Lee), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Uncle Iroh), Maria Zhang (Suki), and Daniel Dae Kim (Fire Lord Ozai).
Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender is based on the award-winning Nickelodeon animated series. The original show ran for three seasons and, like the live-action adaptation, follows Aang and his friends on a mission to defeat the Fire Nation. Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the animated version stars Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Mae Whitman (Katara), Jack De Sena (Sokka), Dante Basco (Zuko), Jessie Flower (Toph Beifong), Dee Bradley Baker (Appa and Momo), Mako (Uncle Iroh), Greg Baldwin (Uncle Iroh), Grey Griffin (Azula), and Mark Hamill (Fire Lord Ozai).
Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 will premiere on Netflix on June 25, 2026.
