Backers who made it early to support this incredible RPG set in the Invincible universe will start receiving their shipments soon as well, with sets including the official Year Zero Engine-based rulebook and the three-act introductory adventure titled "Metro Mayhem." For the uninitiated, Year Zero Engine (YZE) is a tabletop role-playing game system created by the Swedish publisher Free League Publishing (Fria Ligan) that first debuted in Mutant: Year Zero (2014) and has since been adapted for numerous games, including TTRPGs for Alien, Blade Runner, The Walking Dead Universe, and many more.

The core YZE mechanic is pretty straightforward, where players roll a pool of six-sided dice based on an attribute plus a skill. A roll of six typically counts as a success, while additional sixes provide extra benefits. Most tasks can be resolved with a single roll, making the system relatively fast and intuitive.
