Since its debut on Prime Video, Invincible has built one of modern animation's most beloved superhero shows, turning characters like Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Omni-Man, Allen the Alien, Robot, and the Guardians of the Globe into fan favorites alongside Mark himself. The franchise has consistently expanded the cast and introduced controversial twists and turns every season, some of which have been quite divisive among fans.

As anticipation builds for Season 5, fans are already looking ahead to the next chapter for the heroes and villains who have helped define Invincible's growing legacy. While Prime Video renewed the acclaimed animated superhero series Invincible for Season 5 already, ensuring that Mark Grayson's brutal journey is far from over, an exact release date has not yet been officially announced.

Season 5 is currently expected to arrive sometime in early 2027, continuing the show's rapid adaptation of Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley's beloved comic series. However, fans will want to mark their calendars for July 30 as the franchise is set to return with a brand-new adventure (via ICv2).

Invincible is making an epic return on July 30, 2026, with the official retail release of the Invincible: Superhero Roleplaying TTRPG, an exciting new tabletop experience that recently blew past its Kickstarter fundraising goal and will be making its way to all major retailers soon for just $29.99 USD.

Backers who made it early to support this incredible RPG set in the Invincible universe will start receiving their shipments soon as well, with sets including the official Year Zero Engine-based rulebook and the three-act introductory adventure titled "Metro Mayhem." It also comes with six pregen characters, with iconic superheroes Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Monster Girl, Invincible, etc., as well as a large double-sided action map, custom cards, dice, and tokens, and more.

For the uninitiated, Year Zero Engine (YZE) is a tabletop role-playing game system created by the Swedish publisher Free League Publishing (Fria Ligan) that first debuted in Mutant: Year Zero (2014) and has since been adapted for numerous games, including TTRPGs for Alien, Blade Runner, The Walking Dead Universe, and many more.

The core YZE mechanic is pretty straightforward, where players roll a pool of six-sided dice based on an attribute plus a skill. A roll of six typically counts as a success, while additional sixes provide extra benefits. Most tasks can be resolved with a single roll, making the system relatively fast and intuitive.

If you're looking for a new and authentic way to immerse yourself into the Invincible story before the official launch of Season 5 next year, the Invincible Superhero Roleplaying TTRPG is an absolute must-try, and you can download the Quickstart guide entirely for free right now.
