Rachael Finch encouraged her daughter Violet to try out an ice bath despite experts warning against it.

The Aussie influencer, 35, took to her Instagram Stories on New Year's Eve to share a video of Violet, 11, hesitating to enter ice cold bath water.

However, Violet appeared less than convinced as she hopped around ankle deep in the water, squealing as Rachael giggled while filming the ordeal.

As Violet attempted to get into the cold bath, Rachael asked her: 'What do you think angel?'

Violet then warned others against trying it themselves and also seemingly hit out at online trolls for leaving cruel comments on her mother's posts.

Appearing to give up on the ice bath, she said: 'Don't try this at home and you better stop texting these mean comments, shame!'

Despite Violet trying out the biohack, which refers to using DIY methods to improve one's health, medical experts have warned against children doing ice baths.

Children are not advised to engage in cryotherapy because they cannot regulate their body temperatures as well as adults.

If children are allowed to use ice baths, it is advised that the water is no colder than 10C, they are supervised at all times and are limited to five minutes in the water.

Elderly people and those with medical conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, or diabetes are also warned to avoid ice baths.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Rachael for comment.

As well as Violet, Rachael also shares a younger son Dominic, seven, with her husband Michael Miziner.

Rachael is known for being a fitness fanatic and often gives her fans an insight into her and her family's exercise regimes.

On Christmas Day, she took to Instagram to share a video of herself and her family all exercising at a local playground as they didn't take time off their active lifestyles.

As well as Violet, Rachael also shares a younger son Dominic, seven, with her husband Michael Miziner and they are known for being a very fitness focused family

In the video, Rachael led her family in an intense guided workout session on Christmas morning as they all did pyramid jump squats together.

'Come on, Violet. We can't give up now!' Rachael said in the video, motivating her daughter to complete the morning workout.

It seemed that Dominic had also hit a wall during his training, prompting Michael to turn back and say: 'Don't sit, come on!'

Rachael also shared a photo of her family happily posing after their post-Christmas workout, with her kids Violet and Dominic beaming alongside Michael.

The family often keep fit and workout together, but have divided fans on social media with Rachael frequently being trolled for their very active lifestyles.

Rachael does not shy away from hitting out at the online trolls and shared an impassioned post earlier this year when she was branded an 'almond mum'.

She was wildly accused of 'endangering' her kids after sharing a video of herself making them 'naked burgers' using lettuce cups instead of bread rolls.

'Almond mum' is a pejorative term for a mother who pushes disordered and unhealthy eating habits on her children.

It is often used to refer to parents who are 'obsessed' with nutrition.

A fired-up Rachael was quick to hit back at the baseless accusation, which she deemed to be 'hilarious'.

'This was because I made naked burgers for dinner (meat patty and veggies wrapped in a lettuce cup),' she wrote on Instagram.

'Whilst it's downright nasty, it's also absurdly hilarious. I've become a pro at emotionally responding to these comments now.'
