Thinking about picking up a new Samsung Galaxy S26 series device, but don't know which major carrier to go for? It's a tough choice for sure, as AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile all have very strong preorder deals right now.

As someone who advises our readers year-round on the best cell phone deals, I've been scanning through the promotions to find the best. Annoyingly (but as expected), the best deal depends on which phone and what type of plan you're after.

The best deals at the major carriers

  • T-Mobile's free Galaxy S26 Ultra requires a hefty plan
  • Verizon has more flexible budget options

All the deals are roughly equivalent, but there are a few minor differences - the most notable being that you have to trade-in to get the Galaxy S26 Ultra at both AT&T and Verizon, whereas you don't at T-Mobile.

With that said, the outright 'best' deal is going to depend on what type of plan you're going for. For example, the Ultra deal at T-Mobile requires you to sign up for the high-end Experience Beyond plan, which comes in at $100/mo for a single line. The equivalent plans at the other major carriers come in at around $85 per month, so they might be cheaper and a better option if you're looking to trade in.

There are also very strong options for the cheaper plan tiers, too. At Verizon, for example, you can actually still get a fantastic discount on the Galaxy S26 Plus when you pair it with the entry-level Welcome Unlimited line. That's a plan that comes in at a more affordable $55/mo for a single line, and the device itself will be reduced to just $10/mo. I could see that being a strong budget option for those not looking to trade. Another good 'budget' option is the standard Galaxy S26 at T-Mobile, which is free with the carrier's mid-tier Experience More plan.

With all the above, you'll want to really scrutinize the various plan tiers and work out exactly what you need - and what you can get. Note, if you're not interested in a big carrier plan, then I definitely also recommend checking out Samsung's own deal right now. Right now, the official store is offering either a trade-in rebate of up to $900 off or $150 store credit - both great for unlocked devices.
