Apple TV are making a serious bid to be crowned the best streamer of 2026. Prioritizing quality over quantity, the platform has already delivered a selection of high-profile new and returning shows in these first three months of the year, including an acclaimed third season of Shrinking and an ongoing mammoth sophomore installment of the breathtaking Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. But beyond the big returnees, there are plenty of shiny, new titles also keeping millions of subscribers entertained.

Among these new arrivals is Imperfect Women, a gripping psychological thriller starring the hugely talented trio of Kerry Washington, Elisabeth Moss, and Kate Mara. Debuting this past Wednesday, March 18, the series follows three friends with a decades-long connection, as their friendship is put to the ultimate test when a murder shatters the illusion of their perfect bond. Created by Annie Weisman as an adaptation of the Araminta Hall novel of the same name, the series also boasts the supporting talent of Corey Stoll of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania fame, Joel Kinnaman, Sandrine Holt, Wilson Bethel, Rome Flynn, Ana Ortiz, Leslie Odom Jr., Sherri Saum, and Keith Carradine.

Following its two-episode premiere, Imperfect Women has shot straight to the upper echelons of the Apple TV streaming charts. In the U.S., the series has already risen to second, losing out only to Shrinking. Globally, the series ranks third, although it tops the charts in eight countries worldwide. This is despite receiving a mixed response from critics, earning just 50% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing.

What Did Collider Say About 'Imperfect Women'?

For Collider, Carly Lane agreed entirely with the sentiment of Rotten Tomatoes reviews, awarding the series a middling 5/10 in her review. "Within the overall scope of Apple TV's thriller offerings, Imperfect Women falls squarely in the middle," Lane wrote, adding, "Its performances are strong enough to hook you, but the narrative isn't as consistently propulsive as it could be, and the show's individual character spotlight robs the viewer of more development for the female friendship at the center of the story."

Imperfect Women is streaming on Apple TV and will run through April 29. Make sure to stay tuned to Collider for more streaming stories.
