Erin Konrad's love for everything entertainment dates back to elementary school when she became obsessed with classic Hollywood musicals. When she's not catching up on all her favorite television shows, she's advising her friends and family on what they should binge watch next.

She has her Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. She spends her free time trying to beat her personal record of reading 137 books in a year and cuddling with her dog, Gracie.

Editor's note: The below contains spoilers for the Margo's Got Money Troubles Season 1 finale.

It's becoming more popular with television shows initially billed as limited series to be extended into future seasons, and Apple TV's Margo's Got Money Troubles is the latest show to expand past its original 8-episode count. With its first season becoming a sleeper hit for Apple TV, the streamer recently announced that Margo and the gang would be officially coming back for a second season. In the wake of the show's brilliant season finale dropping this week, it's obvious that there's so much more to explore with these characters, which makes a Season 2 renewal an incredibly exciting proposition.

The 'Margo's Got Money Troubles' Season 1 Finale Wraps Up Some Storylines

The first season of Margo's Got Money Troubles, adapting the 2024 novel by Rufi Thorpe, follows a young woman named Margo Millet (Elle Fanning) who gets pregnant after an affair with her college professor, Mark (Michael Angarano). He wants nothing to do with the baby, and Margo is desperate to provide a happy life for her child. She turns to making content for OnlyFans, which ends up being lucrative for her. However, her choice of profession ends up complicating her relationships with her disapproving mother, Shyanne (Michelle Pfeiffer), her ex-wrestler addict father, Jinx (Nick Offerman), and Mark.

In the Season 1 finale, Margo wins her custody battle with Mark and comes to accept that she loves doing her OnlyFans work. The finale offers some resolution to Margo's conflicts, but also leaves plenty of questions that could be explored in future episodes. Will Mark actually follow through with his mandated visitations, and how will this affect Margo? Will Shyanne stay married to her uber-straightlaced new husband, Kenny (Greg Kinnear), after learning that he called CPS on Margo? Will Shyanne and Jinx ever rekindle the love they once had for each other?

'Margo's Got Money Troubles' Season 2 Can Explore Even More Story From the Book

Besides some of the more obvious storylines that Margo's Got Money Troubles Season 2 could focus on, there is one that hasn't even been explored yet. In Thorpe's novel, Margo has a sweet romance with a man named JB after meeting through her OnlyFans account, but he's more interested in getting to know Margo as a person than just looking at her pics or videos. Throughout the book, Margo and JB create a bond that helps her pull through some of her more complicated relationships. JB also serves as an important character because he doesn't judge Margo for her choices, and he even celebrates her ingenuity and creativity. The culmination of their relationship, without giving too much away, is a fun twist on the classic rom-com love story, which could definitely be included in Season 2 of the series.

By the end of Thorpe's novel, there are still so many elements that can be expanded upon, and Season 2 could also pick up where the book leaves off. One of the most heartwrenching plot points in Season 1 is Jinx's struggles with addiction. Future episodes could follow his battle to stay sober, and could dig into how he tries to stay involved in Margo's life. Aside from delving into Margo's relationships, it will be compelling to see her follow through with her custody arrangement. Even more intriguing would be how Margo decides to continue with her OnlyFans account. The finale sees her sticking to her HungryGhost character while offering more explicit content to her followers to cash in on her popularity. She remains committed to utilizing her creativity and writing talent, so the question becomes: where will Margo's professional path take her next? Hopefully, Season 2 will also include more scenes with her OnlyFans content collaborators, KC (Rico Nasty) and Rose (Lindsey Normington), and her best friend/roommate, Susie (Thaddea Graham), who all make Margo's life more colorful.

Season 2 is currently in pre-production, which means we don't know exactly when new episodes will drop. However, showrunner David E. Kelley, along with the stellar cast, is sure to deliver even more fantastic episodes of Margo's Got Money Troubles when it does return. Until it's back on our screens, we still have Season 1 to binge to keep living in Margo's orbit.
