Comedian Andy Lee has expanded his career into the hospitality industry, creating an iconic Aussie delicacy - dim sims.

The comedy legend launched his own portable food business called Dimmies and Tinnies in March last year.

He came up with the concept with chef Paul Donnelly, restaurateur Eddy Buckingham and potter Sam Gordon.

Dimmies and Tinnies offer two flavours - spicy pork with spring onions and cabbage, or chicken and sweetcorn with kombu.

The veteran funnyman, 43, shared a clip to Instagram on Wednesday revealing he would be selling the dim sims this weekend at a pop-up store in Victoria.

'Huge dimmies and tinnies news! We are doing a pop-up down at the Mornington Peninsula this weekend,' Andy began.

'I'll be at St Paul's General Store. Hand me a dollar and that probably buys you a third of a premium dim sim.'

Dim sims are a renowned Australian delicacy inspired by Chinese dumplings and tinnies is Aussie slang for beer cans.

Andy also sported a hat emblazoned with his business' name as he excitedly told his fans about how he would be working at the store for several hours on Saturday, January 18.

It comes after Andy shared new details about his wedding to fiancée Rebecca Harding.

The comedian revealed on KIIS FM's The Kyle and Jackie O Show that he and Rebecca won't be getting married anytime soon.

He explained they are currently in the process of renovating their $8.5million historic Melbourne mansion and haven't had a chance to plan a wedding yet.

'The wedding is something we have not discussed at all,' Andy said.

'We tried to start it, but I think it bounces between, let's have everyone there and have a massive party.

'Then we look at the cost of that and the fact that we're trying to finish the house. And we're like, "oh, maybe we'll just sneak away by ourselves". But it won't be any time soon, though.'

Andy also revealed he waited so long to propose to Rebecca because he wasn't 'keen on getting married'.

'I didn't really think that it was something I needed to do. It represented a waste of money and to be honest, I'm a bit of a wedding Grinch,' he admitted.

'I used to sit there and go, "Why do we have to go and sit and watch people for four hours tell us how much in love they are?"'

'And then as people change, I just thought, "No, actually, I do want a bit of this". And I was surprised with what it does to a relationship. Even just getting engaged. I think you feel a bit more like a team. So, it's been a lovely surprise.'

Andy and Rebecca announced their engagement in May 2024, after ten years together.

He got down on one knee at the couples decrepit Melbourne mansion and proposed with a napkin - which symbolised how they met in 2014.

Rebecca and Andy went public with their relationship at the 2015 Australian Open.

In 2022, the couple confirmed they had briefly split for six months in 2016 after Rebecca felt 'immense pressure' dating someone in the public eye.

However, they soon realised they were meant to be during their time apart.

Andy and Rebecca are currently undertaking a $5million renovation project after buying a historic mansion in Melbourne's east.
