Baby joy! Exciting family news for Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth

Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemworth have some celebrating to do, with the Spanish actress' younger half-brother Cristian Prieto welcoming his second child.

The filmmaker, who moved to Byron Bay in 2019 to be closer to the famous couple, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a series of sweet images of the precious newborn.

One image was of Cristian's wife Silvia Serra showing off her baby bump while their first child Ona, two, placed her hands on her mother's belly. 

A second image showed a tender family moment in which Silvia was introducing the newborn to Ona.

Another was of Ona, in big sister mode, happily posing for the camera as she carefully cradled the cherubic bub.

A fourth image was of mother and daughter laying on a bed sleeping while the last image showed a close-up image of baby's hand wrapped around Silvia's finger.

Captioning the heartwarming images, Cristian gushed that he was 'in love again' and  revealed his daughter's sweet name.

'My biggest concern when having a second daughter was the fear that I may not be able to love her as much as my first,' he wrote, revealing his daughter's name with the hashtag #GIA.

'That fear went away the moment I first saw her. I’m in love again.'

The sweet post was met with a flurry of congratulations from friends, family and followers, with Elsa liking the post.

One follower summed up the sentiment of many with: 'When you have your second child, your heart does not divide. on the contrary, it multiplies with love. Congratulations.'

Cristian and Silvia moved to Byron Bay back in 2019 to be closer to Elsa and Chris.

Before making the big move, he and Silvia often stayed with Chris and Elsa at their sprawling estate. 

The photographer and film director knows Australia well. 

Cristian worked in the production crew on Chris Hemsworth's Thor: Ragnarok in 2016 in Queensland.

It's not the first time Christian has worked on set with Chris - the Madrid-born hunk also acted as a producer on The Avengers film in 2012.

He has worked in the film industry since he was young, having nabbed a gig on the film Giallo, starring his sister Elsa and Elsa's former flame Adrien Brody, at age seventeen.

Taking to Instagram back in 2018, Elsa gushed about her half-brother saying she was lucky to have him by her side.

She shared an image that showed Cristian tossing Chris and Elsa's then three-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha over his shoulder.

'Lucky to have uncle Cristian when you have no more energy!,' Elsa captioned the image.

'We love you bro.'

The latest addition comes as Chris recently expanded his $50million Byron bay Estate to include a state-of-the-art gym.

The Thor star, 41, has created a state-of-the-art training facility called The Shed for his fitness brand, Centr.

Chris founded the subscription-based fitness app in 2019, offering content that includes workouts, meditation, diets, and recipes.

In March 2022, Centr was acquired by a private equity firm owned by the brother of Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos, but Chris continues to be featured in most workouts and promotions.

Speaking to Realestate.com.au, Chris's personal trainer and business partner, Luke Zocchi, explained that the facility serves as a space for Centr trainers to test new workouts and equipment while also having fun.

He emphasised that no expense was spared in creating the cutting-edge facility, which was designed by Chris and his team.

'It’s definitely next level,' Zocchi said.

'Chris made sure to include the latest and greatest Centr equipment in the gym.'
