Amy Adams' daughter Aviana, 14, used to ask her not to wear make-up: 'She wanted me to be just mom'

Amy Adams' only child - daughter Aviana Olea Le Gallo - used to ask her to be all natural and keep the glam strictly on the red carpet.

'She didn't like me wearing make-up,' the 50-year-old actress recalled to People on Sunday.

'She's like, "I just want you to look like Mom, not like Amy Adams." And I was like, "You got it." So there were years where I didn't wear make-up wherever we went. I mean, I sneaked some mascara. But yeah, I wouldn't wear makeup because she wanted me to be just mom.'

On September 7, Amy's 'funny' 14-year-old and her husband Darren Le Gallo supportively joined her at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of her new film Nightb****.

'It was really great to share that with her. I just love her!' Adams - who crafts with Aviana - gushed.

'I get really nervous about public speaking, and she's never been around me [in those moments]. She was like, "Mom, you do this all the time. You got this!" She was supporting me, it was so sweet.'

The six-time Oscar nominee lamented that she was 'the last person to get ready' and 'the least manicured at my household.'

'I think it's been that way since she was born,' Amy admitted.

'But lately, per my daughter's request, I'm working on an upgrade. She's like, "You can't wear workout clothes if you're not working out, Mom. You can't just do the leisure part of athleisure."'

Adams originally met the 50-year-old artist at a 2001 acting class when they were dating other people, and they celebrated nine years of wedded bliss on May 2.

The Italian-born Army brat produced and stars as a stay-at-home mother - who transforms into a dog each night - in Marielle Heller's body horror comedy, which hit limited US theaters last Friday.

Exhibitor Relations Co. tweeted how 'highly unusual' it was for Disney-owned distributor Searchlight to not report how much Nightb**** earned at the box office over the weekend in 82 cinemas.

The big-screen adaptation of Rachel Yoder's darkly comic 2021 debut novel currently has a dismal 59% critic approval rating (out of 148 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes.

Nightb**** also features Scoot McNairy, Mary Holland, Ella Thomas, and Garrett C. Phillips.

Amy will next compete for best actress at the Michigan Movie Critics Guild, which will be announced this Monday.

Adams will then compete for the gender-neutral best lead performance trophy at the 40th Independent Spirit Awards, which stream February 22 on YouTube.

The two-time Emmy nominee was previously honored with prizes for her work in Nightb**** at the Toronto Film Festival, Mill Valley Film Festival, and Savannah Film Festival.

In September, Deadline reported that Amy signed on to produce and star in screenwriters Annie Mumolo and Stan Chervin's COVID-set mom band comedy Lazy Susans for 20th Century Studios.

The film is inspired by The Lazy Susans, a real group out of Boston, featured in the 2022 Boston Magazine article, For Those Moms About to Rock.

Adams' other upcoming projects include Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris' couple swap comedy The Invite, Graham Moore's legal thriller The Holdout, Taika Waititi's AI drama Klara and the Sun, as well as Kornel Mundruczó and Kata Wéber's family drama At the Sea.
