2026 started on the best note for fans of the fantasy genre, and there are even more treats to come. The year is set with tons of fantasy TV shows and movies scheduled for release, some of which are highly anticipated comebacks. Speaking of TV, two of the most anticipated fantasy adaptationshave already made it to the small screen, namely, Game of Thrones' epic spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which ended its very first season in February, and Outlander, which returned for its eighth and final season a few days ago.

Another similarly brilliant fantasy adaptation we've all been waiting for finally has great news: its return date has been officially set. AMC has announced the premiere date for Interview With the Vampire Season 3, also titled Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat. The gothic fantasy returns on June 7, 2026, two years after it was renewed for a third season in June 2024.

Alongside the announcement, the network unveiled the upcoming season's electric opening title sequence, with "All Fall Down" from the Season 3 trailer revealed as the theme song. "All Fall Down," by series composer Daniel Hart, is the second single from Lestat de Lioncourt, featuring vocals from his portrayer Sam Reid. The new Interview With the Vampire track is now available on all major digital music services, including Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify, with more songs from Lestat expected to be released in the coming months.

AMC's Hit Gothic Fantasy Adaptation Returns Soon

Over the past two seasons of the hit horror fantasy, viewers have followed the toxic and volatile relationship between the vampires Lestat and Louis de Pointe du Lac, who recount the whole affair. Season 3 will instead focus on Lestat going on "an electric multi-city tour while being haunted by 'muses' from his wild and rebellious past," according to AMC. "As his band's popularity and star power rises, so does Lestat's influence over vampires and humans alike, leaving others to contend with Lestat's power in the face of the Great Conversion, an unnatural surge in the vampire population."

Along with Reid, IWTV Season 3 stars Jacob Anderson as Louis, Assad Zaman as Armand, Eric Bogosian as Daniel, Jennifer Ehle as Gabriella, and Delainey Hayles returning from the dead as Claudia. The new season will also introduce several key characters from Rice's acclaimed works, including Sheila Atim from The Woman King as Akasha, aka the Queen of the Damned. Rolin Jones serves as showrunner of The Vampire Lestat, executive-producing alongside Mark Johnson, Hannah Moscovitch, Christopher Rice, and the late Anne Rice.

Expect new episodes of Interview With the Vampire in June, and stay tuned to Collider for the latest updates. You can also watch Reid's performance as Lestat in the Season 3 opening credits below.
