Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ Mom Slams Allison Holker’s “Misleading and Hurtful Claims"
It looks like Allison Holker is shaking off recent criticism.
The So You Think You Can Dance alum was in good spirits while stepping out in Los Angeles Jan. 16 after receiving backlash from members of her late husband Stephen "tWitch" Boss' inner circle for her upcoming memoir This Far,
For the outing, Allison touched down at the Hollywood Burbank Airport rocking a pair of blue jeans, green-and-white sneakers, a classic white tee and a customized tan letterman jacket with cream-colored sleeves. To complete her casual 'fit, the 36-year-old accessorized with a black handle bag and wore her blonde hair in long loose waves.
And Allison—who shares kids Weslie, 16, Maddox, 8, and Zaia, 5, with Stephen—was all smiles for her arrival in sunny California. At one point, she flashed a wide grin while greeting her driver, who held a sign with her name on it as she exited the airport.
Leading up to her Los Angeles trip, Allison faced criticism from Stephen's family and fans for including private struggles allegedly faced by the DJ—who died by suicide in December 2022—in her book, such as writing that she discovered a “cornucopia” of drugs hidden in his closet days before his funeral, as well as journal entries where he shares allusions to childhood sexual abuse from a male family member.
"When I read these dreadful claims about my baby, our beloved Stephen, I realized I could not stay silent any longer," Stephen's mom Connie Boss Alexander wrote on Instagram Jan. 9. “Our family will ensure his name and memory are protected, and we are committed to defending his honor.”

And Stephen's brother Dré Rose, as well as his close friend Courtney Ann Platt, echoed the matriarch's sentiments, with Dré resharing an Instagram statement from Courtney that described Allison's memoir as "the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act I have ever seen in my entire life.”
Amid the controversy, Allison hasn't stayed silent. In fact, the author defended her decision to come forward with her claims about Stephen's past, saying she shared his struggles to help others who might be going through something similar.
“If you decide to read the book, hopefully you’ll see my intention is to celebrate the love and life I shared with Stephen and our three beautiful children, and also the more complex aspects of both of our lives," Allison wrote in a lengthy post on Instagram Jan. 8. "I hope that by sharing our full story maybe I can help someone else who might see themselves or a loved one in Stephen.”
