Shrishty is a decade-old journalist covering a variety of beats between politics to pop culture, but movies are her first love, which led her to study Film and TV Development at UCLAx. She lives and breathes cinema and sometimes wakes up with the close-up shot of Ryan Gosling's hands playing piano in La La Land, in her head.

She has worked with numerous media outlets, including Burda Media (MSN News), DKODING Media, The Voice of Fashion, Hindustan Times, and more. Throughout her career, she has interviewed an array of people, from CEOs and politicians to filmmakers and farmers.

Alexander Skarsgård and Margot Robbie have cemented their Hollywood A-list status through decades of work. Both have taken a balanced approach, pursuing both independent cinema and commercial blockbusters to showcase their acting prowess and star power. While Skarsgård is known for his roles like The Northman, this year’s Pillion, and series like Succession, Robbie became a household name thanks to the unprecedented success of Barbie and a critics' favorite with titles like I, Tonya and Bombshell. It's unfathomable that the stars have a forgettable fantasy movie in their filmography that is proving a streaming success a decade later.

David YatesThe Legend of Tarzan brought Skarsgård and Robbie together in a movie that could have been a franchise starter with the iconic characters. It follows Tarzan, aka John, who, after moving to London, is persuaded by George Washington Williams (Samuel L. Jackson) to return to his former home in the African jungle to investigate claims of slavery. However, things take a turn when he realizes he’s just a pawn in a scheming plot. The movie is getting its due on Prime Video, as it quickly climbed the Prime Video charts days after debuting on the platform. The Legend of Tarzan is on the streamer’s Top 30 list, as per FlixPatrol.

The charts are dominated by titles like Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista’s latest, The Wrecking Crew, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, A Working Man, A Minecraft Movie, and more. Despite strong performances and a story that weaves in real historical events, Tarzan received mixed reviews upon its release. It was a box office hit, earning $357.2 million worldwide against a $180 million budget. However, it was criticized for poor CGI, an underutilized cast, and a serious tone, earning a 36% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Margot Robbie Will be Next Seen in ‘Wuthering Heights’

While fans recently enjoyed Skarsgård’s performance in 100% Rotten Tomatoes dark romantic comedy Pillion, Robbie will be seen in an equally steamy role opposite Jacob Elordi in Emerald Fennell’s take on Wuthering Heights. The feature is targeting a Valentine's Week release to attract the right audience. Like Fennell’s other features, the upcoming adaptation seems quite sinful and full of yearning from the looks of the marketing materials. Also starring are Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell in supporting roles. It remains to be seen how the movie fares with the audience when it debuts on February 13.

Meanwhile, The Legend of Tarzan is streaming on Prime Video. Stay tuned to Collider for more such updates.
