Alex Scott and Jess Glynne strip down to their bikinis as they frolic beneath a Costa Rican waterfall during New Year break in Central America

Alex Scott was still dreaming of Costa Rica on Sunday as she shared her first Instagram posts since returning from the Central American country. 

The BBC presenter is back in the United Kingdom after enjoying a New Year holiday with girlfriend Jess Glynne, but she was still reminiscing on the trip in a series of updates over the weekend. 

Posting a handful of photos from their exotic holiday, Scott, 40, wrote: 'Nature, love, laughter, adventure and a whole lot of amazing memories to see in and begin the new year with!!

'Two little Dora the explorer’s who loved the Costa Rican life.' 

In one image the pair are stripped to their bikinis as they frolic beneath a cascading natural waterfall, while another finds them sharing a kiss as they take in a breathtaking coastal sunset. 

Another captures Scott as she emerges from the ocean in a white bikini, conjuring images of Swiss actress Ursula Andress and her iconic entrance in James Bond film Dr. No.  

In November, the former footballer joked that she and pop star Glynne, 35, have 'become the same person' since moving in together as she made a rare comment about their relationship.

Detailing her daily routine in The Times, she wrote: 'I wake up next to my partner, Jess, who has become the same person as me over the past year and a half'.

'She can see what going to the gym does for me mentally, so she’ll do the same'.

The sports pundit then went on to recall a recent bash at swanky store Selfridges where Glynne was honoured after becoming the face of Fenty Hair by Rihanna.

'I love seeing [Jess] thrive, I didn’t want to be photographed with Rihanna because I wanted the spotlight to be on Jess'.

The couple have been romantically linked since October 2023, after reports emerged they had been dating for months prior.

A source at the time said: 'Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn't want to rush things or go public too soon.'

It was recently reported that the pair are considering a permanent move across the pond.

Scott's future at the BBC has reportedly been thrown into doubt, with sources claiming she's been 'deeply hurt' by a 'lack of support' surrounding Football Focus.

The presenter is thought to have made a complaint to channel bosses last year after the their response to criticism she faced around the show's low viewing figures.

According to The Sun, she is now thought to be 'considering other offers,' and is even contemplate a move to the US with her girlfriend, as her BBC contract is up for renewal this year.
