Alaskan Bush People star Gabe Brown's wife Raquell files for divorce after seven-year marriage

Raquell Brown, the wife of Alaskan Bush People star Gabriel 'Gabe' Brown, has filed for divorce from the reality star following a seven-year marriage.

Raquell said in court docs filed on September 22 that the marital union had been 'irretrievably broken,' Us Weekly reported after reviewing legal documents.

In the documents, Raquell said that she and Gabe, 36, had been residing in separate states since April, with her in Minnesota while he's in Washington. The former pair are parents to three children.

Raquell requested the court split their belongings, with both parties accountable for 'debts they incurred after the date of separation,' according to legal documents.

According to her filing, Raquell asked the court to grant her the ability to ask for temporary spousal support at trial. Raquell requested that the court deem Gabe responsible for covering her legal fees and any related expenses.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for the show for further comment on the story. 

Other expenses Raquell requested include child support and funds for medical needs for their kids, court docs stated.

Raquell also cited fees such as daycare and transportation for long distance trips, according to legal documents filed in the case.

Educational costs, including collegiate and vocational institutions, were mentioned in Raquell's requests in the filing, according to the outlet.

Raquell drew up a parenting proposal she is seeking the court to approve and enforce, according to legal docs.

Gabe's brother Bear Brown took to TikTok earlier Tuesday confirming the split.

'The reason I'm making this video is to let y'all guys know that, yes, Gabe is getting divorced, Gabe and Raquell are separating,' Bear said.

Bear said that he had been told by both parties that they were not splitting in a video he posted earlier this year, but circumstances have since changed.

'Stuff happens, I don't want to... talk about their personal business at all, so I won't be doing any more videos about it... yes, they are getting a divorce now.

Bear said he hoped that 'everything can be done peacefully' and both parties focus on 'what's best for the children.'

The split comes amid what's been a tough year for the family, with Matt Brown's death via suicide at the age of 42 earlier this year.

Alaskan Bush People first hit the air in 2014, with Gabe and Raquell's romance showcased on the program in 2018.

The duo exchanged vows in January of 2019, with another reception in front of the cameras airing on the show in 2020.

Gabe said on the special: 'All of my nervousness, the pre-wedding jitters and all of that, it just stopped as soon as I saw Raquell walking down the aisle.

'It was like I was coming through a storm on a dark night and all of a sudden I pulled into a nice, safe harbor.'
