Adrian Portelli went on the defence on Wednesday when a follower criticised him over using a customised car seat for his one-year-old infant son Mercy.

The billionaire businessman, 35, took to Instagram with a photo of the baby seat which had been upholstered with brown suede and embroidered with Mercy's name.

'How cool is this? Matching baby seat for the VT,' he said, referencing a new Holden car he received—but one fan was not happy with the 'illegal and unsafe' gift.

'Completely illegal and unsafe. Not that you'd care for your child's safety,' the woman messaged Adrian.

The entrepreneur responded with, 'EAD,' which is slang for 'eat a d***', and shared a screenshot of their conversation with his 457,000 followers.

However, the 'Karen' wasn't done with him, as she then said: 'Money won't save your child's life.

'I suggest you read the car seat manual where it specifically says no after market accessories—that includes covers.'

Adrian was not to be cowed, as he continued to troll the lady by suggesting he wasn't even strapping his son into a car seat while driving him around.

'I actually didn't even have him in a baby seat so this is definitely a step up. Thanks for your concern though,' he told her.

Adrian later shared a photo of his infant son sitting unstrapped in the car seat which had been placed in the driver's seat of one of Adrian's many luxury cars.

Mercy was grinning ear to ear as he grabbed hold of the steering wheel of the stationary vehicle, wearing an adult-sized high visibility vest.

'To all the Karen's out there… we take safety seriously at the Portelli house,' Adrian jokingly captioned the picture.

It comes after Adrian gave his son quite the scare when he unveiled his wild new look over the weekend.

The LMCT+ founder debuted his shaved head, eyebrows and beard in a series of photos shared to Instagram on Monday.

He documented the moment his son Mercy saw his transformation for the first time, with the infant squirming and crying in his arms—unhappy with his dad's new look.

'Mercy's first reaction to skin head daddy!' Adrian captioned his post as he grinned in the photos while holding his wailing child.

'He wasn't a fan but he eventually warmed up.'

The last photo showed the father son duo smiling and pouting while swimming in their backyard pool.

Adrian, aka Mr Lambo, shocked his fans on Sunday when he revealed his brand new look.

In the images, Adrian proudly showed off his closely shaven head as he posed solo and with friends.

'I'm digging the new look,' he said in the caption alongside the set of photos.

'Skin diesel,' joked one person in the comments while another said: 'What in the Uncle Fester has gone on here?'

'How cool is this? Matching baby seat for the VT,' he said, referencing a new Holden car he received—but one fan was not happy with the 'illegal and unsafe' gift

One more chimed in, 'Who let the thumbs out?' while someone else wrote: 'Adrian Baldelli.'

'New casting crew for TV series Prison Break,' said one more with another writing: 'Voldemort's kids.'

The Block billionaire, who was never far from the headlines in 2024, and his partner Karlie Butler welcomed their first child in January last year.

Mercy's unique name pays homage to one of the first luxury cars Adrian purchased—a rare orange Lamborghini Murcielago valued at over $700,000.

The car enthusiast gave a subtle hint about his son's name on social media by posting a picture of baby Mercy atop the supercar, complete with the 'Mercy' number plate.

Adrian and Karlie have been together for two years, having met at a bar.

Unlike Adrian, Karlie prefers to stay out of the spotlight, leading a low-key life.

Despite her private nature, Adrian is a doting father, frequently sharing adorable photos of Mercy with his followers.

'Completely illegal and unsafe. Not that you'd care for your child's safety,' the woman messaged Adrian, who promptly told her to 'eat a d***'

The LMCT+ founder recently praised Karlie, noting her frugality despite having access to all his credit cards.

'She won't spend a frigging cent,' Adrian said, highlighting her lack of interest in materialism and fame.

As a token of appreciation, he gifted Karlie an Aston Martin DBX, retailing for around $350,000, as a push present during her baby shower in November.

Adrian shared these insights on his close friend Troy Candy's podcast, emphasising Karlie's private and non-materialistic nature.

'She's not on socials, she never posts, she's one of those girls who's very low key,' he added.
