90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple Evelin Villegas and Corey Rathgeber sparked split rumors after he left Ecuador following her decision not to expand their family. Corey from Washington and Evelin from Ecuador met more than a decade ago and started their reality TV journey with The Other Way season 1. A cheating scandal was about to tear them apart, but Corey forgave Evelin and proposed to her. It was Corey’s turn to cheat on Evelin when they returned to The Other Way season 3.
While Corey and Evelin got over their past trust issues and were living a happy life together in Ecuador, the cracks started showing at Christmas 2024.
Evelin was left behind in Ecuador by Corey, who revealed he was traveling without her. Corey revealed he was back in the U.S. to celebrate Christmas with his family. However, Corey flew to Ecuador just in time to be with Evelin because she had never experienced Christmas like he did. Corey got a lot of gifts for Evelin, which made her very happy. She posted pictures with Corey and their two fur babies sitting next to the tree surrounded by gifts.

Evelin wished her followers a merry Christmas. She told Corey that she loved him. Evelin thanked Corey for making this Christmas the “best one” yet. However, Evelin told Corey that he was surely her best present. “Ps - our kids don’t like taking photos,” Evelin joked.

Corey and Evelin did not see eye to eye it came to having kids. Despite being married for over five years, they are still not in agreement over having kids. They have adopted two pets, but Corey might want to be more than a pet parent. When he revealed he was in the U.S., it looked like Corey was still waiting for Evelin to change her mind. He was busy spending time with his family, going to Georgia, and then to Mill A. It was a quick trip but not the first time that Corey had left Evelin by herself.

The last time he walked out was when he had an affair with a woman named Jenny in season 3. However, Corey had gone to the U.S. not after a fight, but to be with his loved ones. It did not mean that Corey was going to break Evelin’s heart and let her be by herself for the Holiday season. Corey was literally in two places at the same time as he rushed to be with Evelin on the 25th. It might even be the last Christmas Evelin gets to spend at her home, considering she’s applied for a U.S. visa and will be moving there with Corey soon.

Evelin and Corey have been through some serious ups and downs but have faced every obstacle together. They’ve had faith in their marriage and even though they fight and sometimes air their drama on social media, Corey and Evelin are stronger than most other 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way and other spin-off couples. While Evelin may have decided that she will never have kids, Corey has been nothing but supportive. Their pets are their kids, even to Corey, and who knows what the future has in store for the couple.
