90 Day Fiancé star Angela Deem could really be on her way to becoming the queen of reality TV with her teasing that a Netflix special about her and Michael Ilesanmi is about to release soon. Angela became a household name after her 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 2 debut, in which she flew to Nigeria to meet Michael for the first time. However, Angela always made news for the wrong reasons. Angela's cruel treatment of Michael and acting like she was superior to him because she was American was deemed controversial.

Several petitions online, created by fans, asked for Angela to be removed from the show for being violent towards Michael and her fellow cast members. Angela stayed put and came back to the franchise season after season until her last appearance in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? However, after seven years of Angela and Michael being together,Michael decided to dump Angela and start an independent new life in the U.S. Angela spoiled the season for the show’s fans by claiming Michael had disappeared after coming to America.

They wrote, “According to Entertainment Tonight Michael is given a new Netflix documentary series called Surviving Angela …..coming soon” in their caption. Several similar posts were made and shared online by other pages. Considering they had used the name of a reputable source, several fans fell for the clickbait. This particular post became viral with fans even left wondering what this supposed Netflix special would be about and a few comments getting their popcorn ready.

Angela Teased Her Netflix Show On Instagram

Angela Could Be Joking

While Michael usually addresses such rumors to confirm or deny them via his social media, he never did it this time around. Michael’s refusal to comment on “Surviving Angela” may have further fueled rumors about the news being legitimate. A month later, it was Angela herself who fueled rumors that she was going to become a Netflix star. Angela took to Instagram to share a poorly edited video that started with the Netflix logo animation intro. Angela added Rihanna’s “Run This Town” to the Reel as background music.

The poor quality of the video suggested Angela was trying to prank her followers into believing the “Surviving Angela” rumors were true. However, Angela seemed to have used some kind of template since the video did not look like it was official. She also commented with laughing emojis when a fan asked her for the Netflix special’s release date.

Does This Confirm That Angela Has Been Fired?

Angela Might Not Be Under Contract Anymore

Angela used to insist that she wasn’t fired when 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8 was on air, and she wasn’t in any of the episodes. When Angela and Michael did show up after 10 episodes, their storyline looked like it was cut short. Angela also removed “90 Day Fiancé” from her Instagram bio, suggesting she’s no longer associated with the franchise. If Angela does show up in a Netflix show, it would certainly mean that her 90 Day Fiancé stint has finally ended.
