Launched at the same time that Reacher Season 4 wrapped up, Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton's action-crime spin-off Neagley has been performing spectacularly, becoming the number one show on Prime Video once again this week. With great reviews and that high viewership, it looks like the Maria Stern-starrer is here to stay. But in case this new action series isn’t quite your cup of tea, there’s still more to check out on the platform. Without further ado, here’s a look at three great shows that we think you should watch on Prime Video this week.

1 ‘Chucky’ (2021–2024)

Created by Don Mancini, Chucky is a horror-comedy series inspired by the Child's Play movies. A sequel to the 2017 film Cult of Chucky, the show follows the titular evil doll as he commits various murders in the town of Hackensack, New Jersey. Brad Dourif reprises his role as the voice of Chucky, leading an ensemble cast that includes Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Teo Briones, Devon Sawa, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, Jennifer Tilly, and Billy Boyd.

Jointly released by Syfy and USA Network, the Chucky series packs all the camp and violence of the Child’s Play movies into a thrilling three-season story. Though its post-Season 3 cancellation leaves the show on a major cliffhanger, it’s still a highly enjoyable watch for horror fans, featuring all the iconic hallmarks of the cult classic franchise and then some. It’s a great watch to kick off the Halloween season with, and though the series may have officially ended, there are reportedly plans to continue its story in future installments.

2 ‘The Night Manager’ (2016–Present)

Adapted for television by David Farr and starring Tom Hiddleston in the lead role, The Night Manager is a spy thriller series based on John le Carré’s 1993 novel, centered on former military officer-turned-hotel manager Jonathan Pine. The show follows Jonathan as he joins a dangerous covert mission to take down international arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie), becoming a battle-seasoned intelligence operative in the process. Besides Hiddleston and Laurie, the show also stars Olivia Colman, Tom Hollander, David Harewood, Elizabeth Debicki, Diego Calva, Camila Morrone, Hayley Squires, and more.

The Night Manager began with a highly acclaimed first season in 2016, which earned several accolades, including two Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards. Ten years later, the series returned with the first installment of a two-season expansion, which has also earned a positive critical and fan reception. Anchored by the impeccable performances and chemistry of its ensemble, the series is easily one of the most engaging spy shows of the 21st century and one of the best TV adaptations of John le Carré’s work.

3 ‘The Peripheral’ (2022)

Created by Scott B. Smith and loosely inspired by William Gibson’s 2014 novel, The Peripheral is a science fiction series that stars Chloë Grace Moretz as Flynne Fisher, a young VR gamer in the year 2032. After trying out a prototype VR headset for a mysterious company, Flynn enters an ultra-realistic SIM world and inadvertently finds herself at the center of a complex time-travel conspiracy. Executive-produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the series also stars Gary Carr, Jack Reynor, JJ Feild, T'Nia Miller, Katie Leung, and more in key roles.

The Peripheral is arguably one of the most underrated sci-fi series of the 2020s. Though its mainstream reception was largely mixed, the show’s first and only season has proven quite popular with genre fans. It’s a fascinating work of cyberpunk television with high production values, great performances, and an intelligently crafted world. The series was initially renewed for a second season but ended up getting canceled during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
