As fans enjoy the second season of Paradise, they may know that its creator, Dan Fogelman, is also spending time on another Hulu show that's sure to be a hit. The series, now titled The Land, is in production and is officially rounding out its cast with a Blue Bloods alum. The series is set inside the world of the NFL and will follow a family that (fictionally) owns the Cleveland Browns and the team itself. Production has only just begun, but the series was announced last year with Law & Order: Organized Crime's Christopher Meloni cast as the head coach, Danny.

Now, a new report just announced that a familiar face is joining the cast, and it is Blue Bloods alum, Bridget Moynahan. She played Erin Reagan on the hit CBS police procedural. In The Land, Moynahan will play Belinda, Danny's (Meloni) ex-wife. The actress celebrated the cat being out of the bag on Instagram shortly after the news broke, saying she was "Finally sharing the good news! So excited to be a part of this incredible project filled with talented writers, directors and actors!"

Who Else Stars in 'The Land'?

The Land, much like Fogelman's previous hits like Paradise and This Is Us, is an ensemble show. Moynahan joins the growing list of previously announced cast (outside Meloni), including Sam Corlett and Tanner Zagarino, who are set to play Danny’s sons, William H. Macy, who will play team owner, Hank. Chase Crawford will play the team's General Manager. Mandy Moore and Chloe Bennet have been cast as Hank's daughters. When Macy was asked about the upcoming Hulu series, he explained it's more than just a football show:

"It’s about a football team, nominally the Cleveland Browns. It’s called The Land because that’s what people from Cleveland call it. They’re brilliant scripts. They’re Shakespearean. It’s about football, but, oh, my lord, the plots are so profound, and I’m having the time of my life."

Fogelman has already shown his love for inviting actors he's previously worked with to new shows, as seen with Sterling K. Brown at the helm of Paradise. Now, he's cast Moore, who worked with Fogelman and Brown on This Is Us, as the Pearson Matriarch, Rebecca. While it's unclear when The Land may grace the streamer, Moore posted on Instagram back in October that production had begun. She posed with Meloni with the caption: "First day of production for our new drama series created by the incredible @danfogman! See you soon on @hulu and don’t forget… football is family. 🏈🧡."

The Land does not yet have a release date. Watch Fogelman's hit Paradise now streaming on Hulu. Stay with Collider for the latest updates.
