Andy Dispensa will play a recurring role in the upcoming Season 2 of “Yellowstone” prequel series “1923,” Variety has learned exclusively.
Dispensa will play Luca, described as “a young man working in the engine room of a merchant ship.” He joins a cast that includes Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton and Jennifer Carpenter.
The official description of the new season of the series states:
“In the second season of ‘1923,’ a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.”
Dispensa is perhaps best known for his role as Dion in the hit Biblical series “The Chosen.” He also recently appeared in the CBS series “NCIS: Hawai’i.” Dispensa is also an optioned screenwriter and published playwright.

“1923” returns on Feb. 23, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter. “Yellowstone” mastermind Taylor Sheridan created “1923” and serves as executive producer. David C.
