With a staggering 12 Academy Award nominations to his name across various fields, Bradley Cooper is well on his way to becoming his generation's Clint Eastwood or Warren Beatty — a true-blue movie star who transitioned to a successful career in direction. Cooper made his directorial debut with the blockbuster musical drama A Star Is Born; his latest film was the rather low-key comedy-drama Is This Thing On? However, he worked his way up the Hollywood ladder the conventional way, by playing all sorts of roles in movies of all shapes and sizes. Before he blew up thanks to The Hangover, Cooper played supporting roles in the comedy film Wedding Crashers, the television series Alias, and the cult classic Wet Hot American Summer. During this time, Cooper also played a supporting role in a forgotten horror movie that has surprisingly been rediscovered on home video.

The movie was headlined by Renée Zellweger and also featured Ian McShane in a supporting role. It was directed by Christian Alvart, and revolved around a social worker who discovers dark secrets while working on a case. The movie received poor reviews and underperformed at the box office. It holds a 22% score on the aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, whose consensus praised Alvart's "stylish flair" but noted that it is wasted on the film's "frightless, unoriginal plot." The movie made $28 million worldwide against a reported budget of $26 million.

Not Many Have Watched Bradley Cooper's 22% Rotten Tomatoes Horror Movie

The horror film in question is Case 39, which, according to FlixPatrol, was among the most-watched movies on the domestic Tubi chart this week. Cooper's fortunes would turn a few years later, although he had a few more clunkers. In 2009, he starred alongside Sandra Bullock in the comedy All About Steve, which holds a 7% score on Rotten Tomatoes; a year after that, he starred in Valentine's Day, which has an 18% score on the aggregator. Cooper's most recent film, Is This Thing On?, earned positive reviews but underperformed at the box office. Despite an 87% Rotten Tomatoes score, it grossed only around $12 million. You can watch Case 39 on the free Tubi streaming service, and stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
