16 years ago, cinema got a huge shakeup courtesy of David Fincher with the release of The Social Network. Charting the massive success of real-life tech mogul Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) and all the wild highs and major lows that came with it, the movie, which also featured leading performances from Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield, became an immediate award season shoo-in. In the years since, audiences have clamored for a continuation of the tale. After all, so much more has come out of the woodwork surrounding Zuckerberg’s social media empire. Soon, the story will continue when The Social Reckoning puts Facebook under a microscope.

Referring to the feature as a “David and Goliath story” by its writer and director Aaron Sorkin, the audiences at CinemaCon then caught a quick peek of the movie, which showcased a tense scene between Madison and Jeremy Allen White’s characters. Moving quickly into a mock courtroom sequence, we got our first look at Strong’s perfect take on the character as he took on one question after the next. Pompous and over certain of himself, Strong’s character has no idea what’s headed for him as Madison’s Frances Haugen strengthens her case and prepares for the legal battle of her life.
