Spoilers are ahead for Emily in Paris season 4, part 1.

Emily in Paris season 4, part 1 might not have as many unhinged outfits as previous outings, but Emily in Paris' cast of characters still don some pretty wild looks. The show picks up from Emily in Paris season 3's cliffhanger ending, which saw Camille (Camille Razat) revealing that she was pregnant with Gabriel's (Lucas Bravo) child. After she decides to drop this truth bomb during her would-be wedding to Gabriel, Camille also reveals that Gabriel is still in love with Emily (Lily Collins). The declaration causes problems for Emily and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), leading to another break up.

On the professional side of things, Emily navigates several product launch parties, work presentations, and even a masquerade ball. All of these plot points lead to some memorable outfits, even if most of the characters' looks aren't as far-flung as they were in previous seasons. Of course, there are still more wild looks to come in Emily in Paris season 4, part 2. Given all the Camille-related drama that unfolds in Emily in Paris season 4, part 1's ending, viewers can only hope that part 2's wardrobe matches the story's dramatic flair.

12 Mindy's Couture-Selling Outfit

An Out-Of-Place Fuzzy Hat & Hot-Pink Gloves Make This Ensemble Over The Top

There's no denying that Mindy is the best part of Emily in Paris, and that's partially because of her fashion sense. Unlike Emily, Mindy's (Ashley Park) wardrobe feels cohesive even when she's rocking eccentric or impractical looks. For example, one of her wildest season 4 looks occurs early on. After attending Roland-Garros with Nicolas de Léon (Paul Forman) and wearing a couture JVMA look, Mindy realizes that the "gift" from Nicholas was all about appeasing his father, Louis de Léon (Pierre Deny), who has incredibly misogynistic things to say about Mindy's regular rotation of fits.

Mindy fully embraces herself and her style, rocking a blue-and-pink floral ensemble...

Dovetailing this storyline is Mindy's need for cash to fund her Eurovision dreams, so, in an act of revenge (and resourcefulness), Mindy sells the couture Roland-Garros look to a local shop. When she goes to sell the outfit, Mindy fully embraces herself and her style, rocking a blue-and-pink floral ensemble, complete with a gold necklace, pearl bracelet, and fish-net hot-pink gloves. What makes this outfit truly wild is the fuzzy blue hat Mindy wears, which feels totally unseasonable based on Paris' weather. Still, even though it's outlandish, Mindy's look is cohesive.

11 Sofia & Camille's Flea Market Coats

Sofia Is Ready To Hit The Slopes

Sofia and Camille (Camille Razat) at the flea market in Emily in Paris s4

Sofia (Melia Kreiling) and Camille hit up a Parisian flea market after (finally) moving out of Gabriel's apartment. For once, Emily isn't making the terrible decisions — it's all Camille in season 4. At the flea market, she fixates on buying a rocking horse for her unborn child, which frustrates the more practical Sofia. However, the antique toy is far from Camille's worst flea market decision. Camille's jacket, with its over-sized sleeves and ridiculous fur collar and cuffs, is truly wild. Sofia, meanwhile, looks ready to hit the slopes in a jacket and skirt made from puffer-vest material.

10 Emily's Clashing Knit Vest

Luc Should Be The One Consoling Emily

Emily (Lily Collins) consoles Luc in Emily in Paris s4

When Luc (Bruno Gouery) momentarily breaks up with Marianne (Laurence Gormezano), his alleged Michelin star inspector girlfriend, he goes to lunch with Emily and Julien (Samuel Arnold) for a pep talk. Although no one's outfit is that outlandish at lunch, it does feel like Luc should be consoling Emily. In an attempt at power clashing, Emily sports a purple-and-white-striped collared shirt with a brown, black, and white knit vest. It's not Emily's worst look, nor is it Emily's wildest outfit, but it's certainly a weak link in her Emily in Paris season 4 wardrobe.

9 Camille's Giverny Look

Camille Tries To Make "Sailor Chic" Into High Fashion

Camille (Camille Razat) in a row boat at Giverny in Emily in Paris s4

At the beginning of the season, Camille runs away from her problems — and everyone who cares about her — until Emily tracks her art-loving friend to Giverny. Famously, Impressionist painter Claude Monet lived and worked in the commune until his death, which is why Camille is drawn there. When Emily arrives, Camille is out on the lily pad-covered pond in a row boat. In an attempt to be sailor chic, she wears an over-the-top ruffled shirt. It's truly a wild choice for someone who knew they'd be getting on a boat to do maintenance.

8 Emily's Tiny Sweater

Emily's Season 4, Episode 1 Outfit Perfectly Captures Her Style

Emily (Lily Collins) looks upset in her tiny sweater in Emily in Paris season 4

For most of the first episode of Emily in Paris' fourth outing, Emily sports a tame outfit — by her standards. Still, it's hard not to eye-roll the tiniest sweater that ever lived. With long sleeves and very little torso coverage, the pink knit sweater certainly breaks up Emily's outfit. The colors work well — her dress is a lovely green with floral patterns — but there's something about the sweater itself that stops this outfit from soaring. Emily dons much better work chic looks throughout season 4, so the tiny sweater sticks out in a bad way.

7 Emily's Roland-Garros Outfit

Emily Goes Full Ronald McDonald For The French Open

Emily (Lily Collins) in her pin-stripe suit at Roland-Garros in Emily in Paris s4

Emily in Paris hammers home that Roland-Garros is a fashionable affair, much like Wimbledon. Emily Cooper definitely nails the assignment, sporting a hat and collared shirt that matches what many of the most well-dressed attendees are sporting. Still, the red-and-white pin-striped look is a real choice. It evokes both Ronald McDonald and Mr. Mint, the clownish proprietor of Candy Land's peppermint forest, while still (somehow) being a tennis-appropriate look. Mostly, Emily's decision to look like the lead in a barber shop quartet is weird because she's going to be on camera with Alfie.

6 Camille & Emily's Monet Merch Chic

The Giverny Gift Shop's Over-Sized Sweatshirts Are A Nice Touch

When Emily finds sailor-chic Camille in a row boat in Giverny, the two get into a heated conversation. More than anything, Emily wants Camille to return to Paris and patch things up with Gabriel. Hilarity ensues when Emily and Camille both flip their boats over. Completely soaked, the duo purchase new wardrobes from the Giverny gift shop before returning to the city. The over-sized Monet merch, especially Camille's poorly printed hat, lead to one of the show's more memorable wardrobe moments.

5 Emily's Flower Shirt

The Floral Assemblage On Emily's Blouse Is The Star Of Her Presentation

Emily (Lily Collins) giving a presentation for Heartbreak perfume in Emily in Paris s4

While Emily nails a lot of her workplace outfits in season 4, there are a few misses. The collared shirt and tie look, paired with the giant flower assemblage, is probably her wildest workplace look in the series' fourth outing. It has an extremely Patricia Field vibe that recalls some of Sex and the City's most audacious Carrie Bradshaw fits. Emily almost pulls it off, but it winds up being a very distracting choice while she's trying to give an incredibly important presentation about the Heartbreak perfume line.

4 The Eurovision Squad's Outfits In Emily In Paris Season 4

Mindy & Étienne Are Ready For The Campy Song Contest

Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) walks around with her band in Emily in Paris season 4

In the first episode of Emily in Paris season 4, Mindy, Étienne (Jin Xuan Mao), and Benoît (Kevin Dias) attend a meeting to discuss the specifics of representing France in the Eurovision Song Contest. When the chat yields mixed results, the bandmates walk around Paris and discuss how, exactly, they can make enough money to fund their Eurovision dreams. Both Mindy and Étienne are rocking some of Emily in Paris season 4's wildest outfits. Mindy's loud jacket and pink hat are great, but Étienne's all-pink ensemble, including his matching mini purse and hair, take the cake.

3 Camille's Beach Party Look

Once Again, Camille Did Not Understand The Assignment In Emily In Paris Season 4

Camille (Camille Razat) speaks to Emily (Lily Collins) at the gala in Emily in Paris s4

When Sylvie's (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) exposé about Louis' inappropriate workplace conduct goes to print, the firm loses its venue for its 500-person party. This prompts Sylvie to reach out to her mother, Heloise (Liliane Rovère), who owned the city's hottest nightclub back in the '70s. With a lot of help, Sylvie, Emily, and the rest of the firm transform Heloise's old club into a beach party-themed space. Although many attendees and service workers seem to understand the theme, Camille's outfit choice — a metal-looking bra-meets-black-dress — proves that she doesn't understand the assignment.

2 Emily In Paris Season 4, Part 1's Fashion Show

The High-Concept Fashion Line Makes A Big Statement

The fashion show in Emily in Paris s4

Fashion designer Grégory Elliot Duprée (Jeremy O. Harris) first appeared in Emily in Paris as Pierre Cadault's (Jean-Christophe Bouvet) rival. In season 4, Duprée's designs take the spotlight when Julien brings Nicolas to see the artist's newest line. Still reeling from the exposé about his father, Nicolas is upset when he learns that the new line by Grégory Elliot Duprée heavily features outlandish codpieces that emphasize the models' crotches. Definitely one of the show's most runway-appropriate looks, Grégory's latest creations are also pretty wild by the Netflix show's standards.

1 Emily's Masquerade Ball Look

The American In Paris Serves "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters" & Hamburglar Realness

Without a doubt, the wildest outfit in Emily in Paris season 4 is Emily Cooper's masquerade ball look, which has several different (and increasingly unhinged) stages. The first stage sees Emily wearing a long cloak-like coat and a hat with a comically large brim, all of which makes her look like Resident Evil's Lady Dimitrescu. When she arrives at the ball, Emily goes full Lady Hamburglar, donning a black eye mask and a billowing accessory that extenuates her hips. Finally, the black-and-white-striped cat-suit, which completely covers Emily's hands, serves Oblina from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters realness.

Emily in Paris season 4, part 1 is streaming on Netflix, with part 2 to follow on September 12, 2024.
