Red and Kitty with Leia in That '90s Show

That '90s Show part 3 has once again proven that Red and Kitty Forman are among the funniest aspects of the series. Of course, the same was true back in That '70s Show, where the couple stood as the exasperated parents trying desperately to keep their 1970s teenagers in line. Now, a couple of decades have gone by, and Red and Kitty have returned as the equally exasperated grandparents. They've only improved with age, reminding audiences of their parents, grandparents, or themselves.

The new generation of Point Place teens in That '90s Show includes Leia Forman, daughter to Eric and Donna, who comes to town every summer to stay with her grandparents. This means that Red and Kitty again have a basement full of mischief makers, who this time embody all it means to grow up in the 1990s. That '90s Show part 3 picks up halfway through the summer of 1996, in which Leia has to deal with a car crash into the kitchen, taking her relationship to the "next level" and sneaking out at night. Naturally, this and more perfectly sets up Red and Kitty for more hilarious moments.

10 Kitty Showing The Girls Her Vacation Photos

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 1, "All Apologies"

That '90s Show part 3 picked up with Red and Kitty returning from their vacation in France. Unfortunately, the first thing they had to deal with upon arriving home was the giant hole in the kitchen wall, courtesy of Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes' That '90s Show characters, Sonny and Bunch. It's naturally an utter disaster, and Kitty is especially furious about all her smashed china. Still, this didn't stop her from showing off her vacation photos.

At first, Kitty planned to withhold her photos as punishment for the teens destroying the house, but she couldn't resist. This led to a hilarious episode-long sequence in which Kitty chased Gwen and Nikki around, forcing them to look at the most ridiculous moments captured in France. Rather than the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre, they were forced to see old ladies who looked like Kitty's relatives.

9 Red & Kitty’s Beanie Baby Hustle

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 2, "Doll Parts"

As grandparents, Red and Kitty are free of the grind they were frequently stuck in back in That '70s Show. They no longer have to worry about working day in and day out and instead enjoy various hobbies. In Kitty's case, this means collecting the popular '90s toys, Beanie Babies, which everyone believed would be worth a fortune one day. While these bean-filled lovies are virtually worthless today, Kitty managed to get $1500 out of her collection with the help of her partner.

Though Donna worried that the older couple would get had, they ultimately proved themselves to be the perfect business-savvy pair.

Red and Kitty made quite a team in That '90s Show part 3. Kitty would connect with someone hoping to purchase one of her Beanie Babies, and Red would turn up, pretending to be a competitively interested buyer. It was downright adorable, and though Donna worried that the older couple would get had, they ultimately proved themselves to be the perfect business-savvy pair.

8 Red & Kitty Coming Home Drunk

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 2, "Doll Parts"

After selling their Beanie Babies, Red and Kitty came back to the house wholly wasted. Intoxicated Formans have always been a highlight of the That '70s Show franchise, with various moments in the parent series in which they either got drunk or unwittingly high on marijuana. While Kitty was often the star of such moments, That '90s Show saw Red really let loose, and it was pretty hilarious.

Not only did Red and Kitty manage to drunkenly make $1500 ("cold hard cash") in That '90s Show part 3, but the Forman patriarch walked away the proud owner of a single snowshoe. He apparently traded a group of lacrosse players for the thing and was very attached to it from then on. As Donna questioned her in-laws, Red refused to hand the snowshoe over, insisting that it might snow (indoors) and that he would need it.

7 Kitty’s Reaction To Her New Vacuum Cleaner

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 3, "Achy Breaky Heart"

Another episode-long gag in which Kitty Forman was the star of the show was the sequence in which the Forman household vacuum cleaner went on the fritz. The ancient thing apparently gave a deadly croak while Kitty was using it, and this brought the woman into complete hysterics. She begged Red to fix it, but he was sure that it was simply too old (joking that it was ancient enough to have been made in America) and bought her a new one instead.

Red giving Kitty a new vacuum in That '90s Show part 3 might as well have been blasphemy.

Red giving Kitty a new vacuum in That '90s Show part 3 might as well have been blasphemy. She despised the new and improved piece of cleaning technology and decided to murder it with a knife rather than use it to clean. Realizing his error, Red attempted to fix the old vacuum, but it had already been torn apart for parts at the repair shop. So, he brought the corpse back home for Kitty to say her last goodbyes before burying it in the backyard next to the blender.

6 Red’s Job As A Coffee Shop Bouncer

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 4, "Two Princes"

Though Red loves his granddaughter, he hates that his house is again full of teenagers in That '90s Show. Just like Eric's old gang, Leia's friends make themselves right at home, occupying not only the basement but the kitchen, too. Hoping for some peace and quiet, Red heads to a local coffee shop but finds the customers there just as annoying as the teens he left back home. This inspires the cranky old man to start scaring some of these folks away.

Every Cameo In That '90s Show Part 3

Netflix's That '90s Show part 3 came with a handful of character and actor cameos, from That '70s Show characters to celebrity guest appearances.

The barista, Morgan (played by Sherry Cola), noticed this and gave Red the unofficial job of chasing off annoying customers. The problem here is that Red naturally found all the patrons annoying, and by the end of the episode, no one was left in the coffee shop. While it wound up being bad for Morgan, watching Red do what he does best was a great deal of fun for audiences.

5 Kitty’s Attempts To Keep Sherri Pure

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 5, "Life Is A Highway"

That '90s Show part 3 finally introduces Gwen's father, Otis, and it turns out that he and Sherri still have a lot of chemistry. The Formans' neighbor explained that every time Otis came into town, they would hook up, and this was never a great situation for Gwen. So, she begged Kitty to keep her from sleeping with her ex. Naturally, Kitty was only too thrilled to help out.

That '90s Show part 3 is available to stream on Netflix.

When Kitty agreed to help Sherri, she hilariously said, "Easy peasy, close your kneesies," mentioning that this was what the teachers used to tell them in the days before birth control. However, Kitty's job ended up not being "easy peasy." Before long, she was exasperated by the effort, constantly chasing Sherri and Otis away from one another. It certainly brought to mind some memorable moments from That '70s Show, when Kitty would do something similar with her daughter, Laurie.

4 Red’s Frustration About His Grill At The Cookout

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 5, "Life Is A Highway"

Red typically represented the all-American dad in That '70 Show, which continued in That '90s Show. Like many grandpas, Red wanted control over the grill at the Formans' cookout, but Kitty requested that he let Otis take over so that the man was less likely to hop into bed with Sherri. Of course, these efforts amounted to very little, which was especially frustrating to Red since he really struggled with the whole arrangement.

By Red's definition, Otis did everything wrong. The old man alternated between watching Otis' every move and ducking away inside so he didn't have to watch anymore. The meat wasn't cooked right, it was being turned wrong, and the flavor was horrible—though Otis was probably actually doing just fine. Still, Red wouldn't be Red if he didn't struggle to give up control to someone he deemed a moron.

3 Red & Kitty’s “Point Place Fiction” Moment

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 6, "I'll Stand By You"

That '70s Show was known for incorporating '70s pop culture references, and That '90s Show has continued the trend. In That '90s Show part 3, this came in the form of Leia's active imagination. After Red and Kitty both tried convincing their granddaughter to lie, Leia imagined that her grandparents were John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson's characters in the 1994 classic Pulp Fiction.

As the pair rode down the street together in snappy suits and the words "Point Place Fiction" spread across the screen, Red and Kitty casually conversed like Vincent and Jules. Red perfectly pulled off the cool and casual character while Kitty fittingly yapped away and dropped a couple of F-bombs. Overall, it was a perfect moment in precisely the flavor of the That '70s Show franchise.

2 Kitty Rolling Into Court On A Scooter

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 6, "I'll Stand By You"

Kitty was determined not to get a ticket and lose her license after she was caught speeding in That '90s Show part 3, so she begged Leia to lie for her in court. However, her virtuous granddaughter refused, so Kitty had to gain the judge's sympathy in another way. This ultimately involved riding into court on an electric scooter, which was made even more comical by the fact that she had no idea how to drive the thing.

This ultimately involved riding into court on an electric scooter, which was made even more comical by the fact that she had no idea how to drive the thing.

Leia showed up in the courtroom after all, and though Kitty had already crashed into every bench and stand she could, the presence of her granddaughter reminded her of the necessity for honesty. Kitty wound up telling the judge the truth and subsequently lost her license. Still, this That '90s Show moment was a great laugh since the following scene showed Kitty being driven around Point Place in an homage to the classic That '70s Show title sequence.

That '90s Show Part 3, Episode 8, "Don't Look Back In Anger"

Some of the best Kitty Forman moments in That '70s Show were those in which she flew off the handle. She became especially unpredictable after going through menopause, and she would begin screaming at Eric and his friends at the drop of a hat. While she mellowed out in That '90s Show, part 3 included a familiar moment in which Kitty returned to her rage-filled ways.

Donna's return to Point Place at the end of That '90s Show part 3 put quite the strain on the household dynamic since she and Kitty butted heads about making decisions for Leia. When Donna requested that her mother-in-law run things by her before making decisions, Kitty initially agreed. However, Red muttered that his wife would have one more thing to say, and he was absolutely correct. After announcing as much, Kitty promptly began screaming at Donna, asking her why she had to control absolutely everything she did. It was a classic Kitty Forman moment, complimented perfectly by Red's commentary.
