Ewan is Deputy Editor for ScreenRant's gaming section. He still quite hasn’t gotten out of his mid 00’s emo phase, and knows more about The Legend of Zelda and Doctor Who than is probably healthy.

Ewan oversees the content operation of ScreenRant's gaming output, working with a talented team of writers and editors to cover everything from the latest GTA 6 news to the indie games you need on your radar.

Former Editor of GAMINGbible, Ewan also has words at Kotaku, Den of Geek, NME, and UNILAD. He's appeared on various podcasts, including VGC's and BBC's Let's Talk About Tech.

007 First Light has been out for a few weeks now, and I think we can all agree the game is a huge success. This is a bold, brilliant reinvention of the classic spy for the 2020s, and while it certainly brushes up against some of the topics that the Daniel Craig movies already explored, this is what we want from the future of Bond.

In celebration of Summer Game Fest, IO Interactive has released an exclusive new skin that you can redeem and download completely free of charge. All you need to do is head over to player.gg and follow the steps to redeem the outfit before June 30 and bring it on your next TacSim mission.

Speaking of Summer Game Fest, IO Interactive took the event as an opportunity to confirm the future of 007 First Light. Lenny Kravitz's Bawma is officially set to return in a brand-new story mission for 007: First Light, alongside a New Game+ and a series of special challenges. There'll be plenty of reasons to hop back into the game over the next year, in other words. Although if you've played Hitman: World of Assassination, you'll know IO Interactive isn't exactly in the habit of leaving its players with nothing to do.

"007 First Light has a legitimate claim to being the best James Bond video game ever," ScreenRant wrote in its 9/10 review. "It likely won't be as influential as GoldenEye 007, and it can't recapture my childhood memories of snipers-only duels on Nightfire's Ravine map, but it has a deep understanding of what makes James Bond so magnetic."

Elsewhere at a packed Summer Game Fest, we got updates on the future of Final Fantasy, Fable, God of War, and even the return of Spyro. It would seem 007 First Light really is the tip of the iceburg in what is shaping up to be a stacked 2026/2027.
