Zendaya shares sweet childhood throwback with heartwarming caption for her fans after turning 28

Zendaya shared a sweet childhood throwback after celebrating her 28th birthday. 

The Challengers star, who marked her special day on September 1, thanked fans for all their well-wishes with an adorable snap of herself as a toddler to her Instagram on Monday.

'Just popping on here to say how appreciative I am for all of the kind birthday wishes, it truly means the world to me…Here’s to 28!' Zendaya captioned the snap.

In the post, the future superstar looked precious in a blue floral dress as she pointed one finger into the air whilst standing on a bed.

Even though her actual birthday had officially passed, the well-wishes continued in the comments section.

It has been a banner year for Zendaya's career.

The Euphoria actress starred in one of the biggest films of the year, Challengers, a drama about tennis players.

While promoting the film, Zendaya's fashionable sporty looks also made headlines.  

In Challengers, Zendaya's character - an aspiring tennis star - gives up her career after suffering a major injury.

Instead, she focuses on coaching her colleague Art, played by Mike Faist, whom she falls in love with and marries.

The sweet messages continued pouring in even a day after Zendaya's birthday 

The actress recently starred in the hit film Challengers 

But Tashi finds her feelings dangerously divided after Art is enrolled on the Challenger Tour, where he faces off against Tashi's ex-boyfriend Patrick, played by Josh O'Connor. 

The sizzling feature comes from Suspiria and Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino and boasts several steamy scenes.

The acclaimed filmmaker praised Zendaya's talents, explaining she worked with tennis pro and former player Brad Gilbert to prepare for the part.

As far as her personal life, she has been dating actor Tom Holland since 2021; pictured 2021

Luca gushed to Variety last October: 'She's wonderful. I mean, wow. We edited the movie and we almost actually don't use any of her double. She's so good.

He added that 'all three leads spent like three months working very hard—technically, athletically.'

As far as her personal life, she has been dating her Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland since 2021.
