Zendaya, Tom Holland Have Marvelous First Outing Since Marriage Rumors
Zendaya thinks falling in love with your best friend has a special kind of ring to it.
As speculation continues to swirl that the Euphoria star and Tom Holland privately got married, she revealed her thoughts on what makes the ultimate unions.
"I don't know if there's any such thing as a perfect marriage, but I'd say people who—I don't know, this is a corny answer—seem like best friends," Zendaya told French magazine Views in an interview published on March 25. "I think it's always nice to see two people that, I don't know, really like each other, as well as love each other."
The 29-year-old—who stars in the new film The Drama alongside Robert Pattinson, playing an engaged couple rocked by a bombshell revelation ahead of their wedding—has remained coy about marriage ever since her stylist Law Roach first broke the news that she and Tom privately tied the knot.
And while neither half of the couple has confirmed the March 1 revelation, Zendaya has been spotted out and about wearing a gold band alongside her engagement ring, while Tom, also 29, was noticeably ringless during a promotional visit to the Empire State Building in New York City March 18.
The Challengers star did poke fun at the wedding buzz during her March 16 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, joking she hadn’t “seen any of that.” However, she was aware of the AI-generated wedding photos of her and Tom that have circulated online—and made sure to set the record straight.
“Many people have been fooled by them,” she admitted, “while I was just out and about in real life and people are like, ‘Oh my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous,’ and I was like, ‘Babe, they're AI. They're not real.’”

But while she and Tom have not confirmed their nuptials, they haven’t been shy about their tight bond. In fact, Zendaya even referred to her Spider-Man: Homecoming costar as “one of my best friends” during an interview with Variety in 2017.
"We are friends,” she added to the outlet. “He's a great dude.”
Tom shared a similar perspective in 2021, telling Access Hollywood that he, Zendaya and their Spider-Man: No Way Home costar Jacob Batalon had grown extremely close on the set.
“From the moment we met each other, we all really hit it off," he explained. "I remember on Spider-Man 1 just becoming the best of friends."

The couple—whose engagement was confirmed in January 2025—have also been clear over the years that privacy is one of their top priorities in their relationship.
"Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible," Tom told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023. "We don't think that we owe it to anyone, it's our thing."
Zendaya concurred, telling Elle around the same time, "Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can't not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share."
