Ghost hunter Yvette Fielding vowed to haunt Downing Street beyond the grave as she issued a warning about spirits at Halloween.
The TV star, 58, has become widely known as the 'first lady' of British ghost hunting after co-creating and hosting the long-running paranormal television series Most Haunted alongside her husband, Karl Beattie.
Having hunted ghosts for over two decades, she has now revealed her plans for when she reaches the other side.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, she said: 'When I die, I will make a vow that I will come back on Halloween night, particularly in Downing Street, where I'd like to scare the living daylights out of whoever occupies Number 10 at the time.'
As we are in the midst of spooky season, ghosts are heavily associated with Halloween due to ancient Celtic traditions.
They believed the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred on October 31.

However, according to Yvette, it doesn't matter what time of year it is; a ghost will simply show itself whenever it wants.
She explained: 'I know that's very disappointing to a lot of people. They think, "Oh, God, there should be more at Halloween time".
'In my experience filming all year round, it makes no difference whatsoever. You know, if a ghost wants to show itself, it will.
'It doesn't matter whether it's Halloween or not, it will.'
As a renowned ghost hunter, Yvette always makes sure she protects herself from spirits.
Revealing the actions she takes to ward off the unwanted energies, she said: 'Yeah, for me personally, I have a necklace that I wear.
'It's my grandmother's crucifix, and it also is a tiny little vial with some of my dad's ashes in there, so I wear that.
'I also say the end of the Lord's Prayer. And for some reason, it seems to work for me, so nothing comes around me.
'But I also know that my loved ones are also almost like a tiny army protecting me.'
One group of people set for a spooky Halloween are the Strictly Come Dancing crew, with Yvette revealing the dressing rooms are 'haunted'.
The BBC dance competition, which kicked off its latest season last month, is filmed at Elstree Studios in London, alongside other shows including EastEnders and ITV's The Chase.
Over the years, the judges and pro dancers have been left terrified on set over unexplained bumps, noises and incidents.
Now, Yvette has revealed that Strictly has 'quite a few ghosts' lurking about.
She said: 'I know Strictly Come Dancing is haunted. Anywhere that has a history, or even the land that the building or property is on, can be, in the right conditions, cause paranormal activity to happen.'

One of her favourite stars on the show was the late Paul O'Grady
She continued: 'So I know people that have been on Strictly talk about some of the dressing rooms; some of the dresses and things have been moved and all sorts.
'I think it's the same one as the Big Brother set? I think that's supposed to be haunted, isn't it? The set of EastEnders.
'There are quite a few ghosts; anywhere where people are, anywhere where you meet electricity, we emit energy.'
Asked if she would like to investigate the studios for further paranormal activity, she replied: 'Absolutely. I'd love to go in there.
'When everybody's gone, the lights have been turned off. There's nobody there.'
As the famous co-creator and host of the long-running reality ghost-hunting series Most Haunted, Yvette has welcomed many stars on her show.
One of her most memorable moments was with Girls Aloud back in 2006, with a few members of the group being sceptical about the show.
Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts participated, while Nadine Coyle opted out of the episode because she was too frightened to join.
Yvette said: 'Girls Aloud, you know, Cheryl and the rest of the girls, Sarah, God bless her.
'She was very into it, believed in it all. The others were a little bit more, don't know, if this is being made up or what, but by the end of it, they were just one of them couldn't hack it any longer.
'They had to go and sit with the psychologist because she was so freaked out by what was happening, not just to us, but to the crew as well, which was incredible.'
But if she had to say her favourite star to appear on the show, she said it would be none other than the late Paul O'Grady.
The actor, who died in March 2023, guest-starred in Most Haunted Live! events, including the London-based special in 2005 and the October 2015 Halloween special on Really.
Gushing about the star, she said: 'He was a huge supporter of Most Haunted.
'I remember I used to get upset if I got any negative comments about the show or got told that it was made up or this, that, and the other.
'And he'd talk to me and say, "Stop that. You're never going to get everybody to believe you. Stop it now. Come on, you're all right".
He was brilliant. He was asked to do other paranormal shows, and he said, " No, I only do Most Haunted."
'He was just such a wonderful, lovely friend. And, you know, he was brilliant. I miss him, but I do know he's up there having a party.
'You know, he's having a great time. I'm sure he is.'

Elsewhere, Yvette has been investigating the invisible energy drains affecting Britain's small businesses for a new Halloween campaign from the non-profit Smart Energy GB.
She visited the independent London bookshop, 'Bookshop', on the Heath to uncover the everyday culprits adding to business bills.
Energy bills are one of the main issues keeping small business owners awake at night.
A new poll found that four in five (80 per cent) are 'haunted' by invisible energy use driving up their bills, such as electricity being consumed outside working hours.
When they shut up shop, fewer than two in ten (17 per cent) owners say they know exactly how much energy is still being consumed on their business's premises,
However, 91 per cent of the owners polled who have a smart meter installed say it has helped them to find ways to save some money on their energy bill.
As a former small business owner, Yvette said: 'From running my own business, I understand how important it is to closely monitor each and every running cost.
'Ahead of winter, I'd encourage all small business owners to spend a bit of time investigating their outgoings and thinking about what they could do to save some cash.
'One thing is making sure you're not spending money on energy your business doesn't need to be using. Getting a smart meter installed can help owners identify what's silently draining energy and costing their business money.'
Victoria Bacon, a director at Smart Energy GB, said: 'A smart meter can help shine a light on what's happening behind the scenes, giving business owners a clearer picture of how much energy they're using and when.
'That visibility can make it easier to spot those energy ghouls and take action to help with energy costs. It also means receiving accurate, rather than estimated, bills which is really helpful for budgeting and forecasting.'
Smart Energy GB is the independent, non-profit, government-backed organisation helping households and small businesses across Great Britain understand how smart meters can benefit them.
