There are only a few weeks left to catch the movie that killed the Marvel hero that was the figurehead of one $1.8 billion film series before its reported exit from Netflix by the end of next month. Marvel's movie empire has been built largely by the MCU timeline and its impossible to ignore success over the course of the past near-two decades, but this doesn't mean the only successful Marvel films have been a part of this roster.

Though the releases we've seen outside of the MCU have had a far more volatile overall path - as evidenced by the overall trajectory and ending of the Sony Spider-Man Universe - this has included some major wins for the wider Marvel franchise, including the box office success of the first two Deadpool movies before Deadpool & Wolverine became part of the MCU, and the results of just about every Spider-Man movie, be they in or out of the mainline MCU's release roster.

Another prime example of this comes from one of the biggest Marvel movie trilogies outside of the MCU making $1.8 billion despite only being tied to the MCU for around 2 minutes of its footage - making it all the more worth watching the final installment in the series and the dramatic death of its hero before it's reportedly scheduled to leave Netflix in a matter of weeks.

Venom: The Last Dance Is Set To Leave Netflix Towards The End Of This August

 The Last Dance

Venom: The Last Dance provided a suitably dramatic finale for the Venom trilogy, with Eddie Brock and his alien counterpart having a final stand against symbiote and human alike as they sought to protect the world from Knull and his forces. Based on the scale of this intergalactic threat, it made sense that the trilogy ended with a noble sacrifice, which saw the Venom symbiote give their own life to take out the Xenophages that Knull had sent to Earth.

Given the Venom trilogy has generally been a hit with audiences, even if it's not reviewed quite so well with critics - having made just over $1.8 billion in its overall run (via The Numbers) - it also makes a lot of sense that Venom: The Last Dance arrived on Netflix, with the streaming service signing a deal with Sony in 2021 that has allowed the platform to provide the movie for fans to stream.

However, Venom: The Last Dance is reportedly set to leave Netflix in the coming weeks as one of the last releases to leave the platform in August, thanks to its reported August 25 exit date (as per What's On Netflix). If this holds true and plans don't change, this means there are a limited number of weeks left to watch the film on Netflix - which is notable given it's a perfect Netflix watch in more than one way.

Venom: The Last Dance Is A Perfect Movie To Catch On Netflix

Venom: The Last Dance is a classic Netflix movie in the sense that it's a comedically inclined action film, which is a commonly popular subgenre for the platform, drawing from the fact many viewers enjoy a more light-hearted and less lore-dense affair to entertain them while they're relaxing at home.

Similarly, Venom: The Last Dance ironically holds more long-term streaming sway because of its lower box office numbers. Historically, superhero movies that are parts of bigger franchises that don't do so well at the box office tend to get major views on streaming services, since those who didn't want to pay to see a specific movie in theaters for whatever reason are generally more inclined to watch it without having to go to the cinema, and as a part of a streaming package like Netflix that they already pay a subscription fee for either way.

With Venom: The Last Dance's post-credits scene teasing that the death of Venom as we knew them in the movie may not be the end altogether and forever for the symbiote, it's also finally worth catching Venom: The Last Dance on Netflix before it may leave to be up-to-date with this story and where it ends, given the multiverse nature of the MCU's next chapters and its impending reboot could mean Venom returns to the big screen far sooner than it might initially seem.
