At the 2026 Super Bowl a streaker made his way onto the field during the fourth quarter as the New England Patriots took on the Seattle Seahawks Feb. 8.
With a little more than 12 minutes left in the game, the man—who was shirtless and wearing black sweatpants—sprinted across the field as security guards chased him before Patriots wide receiver Kyle Williams pushed him to the ground around the 10-yard line, where he was tackled by around eight guards.
The spectator was escorted off the field by security guards and was later charged with trespassing and field intrusion, TMZ reported, citing a spokesman for the Santa Clara Police Department. According to the SCPD, a second person also attempted to storm the field and received the same charges.
While the incident wasn't shown on NBC's broadcast of Super Bowl LX, footage of the moment—which halted play for a few minutes—made the rounds on social media.
This isn't the first time that the Super Bowl has had to deal with a streaker.
Back in 2021, two people made it onto the field as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and later pled no contest to trespassing charges, per the Tampa Bay Times reported. According to the outlet, the men each received two years of probation and had to complete 100 hours of community service. They were also hit with $500 fines and had to write apology letters to the NFL.

After the streaker's interruption, the Seahawks ultimately went on to defeat the Patriots 29-13, nabbing their first Super Bowl in 12 years.
"It's a dream come true," Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker said in a post-game interview. "A lot of people play their whole career and never make it this far."
Meanwhile, cornerback Devon Witherspoon called the win a truly "wonderful" feeling and joked, "I'm gonna have a drink or two or maybe three, who knows?"
