2026 Grammy nominee Zara Larsson exclusively told Live From E!: Grammys how her hand-beaded Germanier ensemble came together: "I just can't believe how they made all of this.”
Grammys 2026: How Love Island's JaNa Really Feels About Third-Wheeling With Leah & Miguel
Look what Zara Larsson’s done.
The Swedish singer was a walking golden gramophone on the red carpet at the 2026 Grammys with her two-piece custom Germanier ensemble. Though the sunny look itself was gorgeous enough—with her long blonde hair cascading in mermaid waves down her back—she revealed the beaded design required a whole team to pull together.
“It's hand beaded by 12 people,” Zara exclusively confirmed to Zuri Hall on the Feb. 1 red carpet during Live From E!: Grammys. “I just can't believe how they made all of this.”
The look, an homage to her Grammy nominated song “Midnight Sun,” wasn’t just about her gown as the detailing went all the way down to her golden manicure, which she admitted “took a few hours” to complete. (See all Grammys red carpet fashion here.)
And as Zara, 28, emphasized, everything about her Grammys ensemble embodies her mood heading into her first ceremony as a nominee.
“But I am just so I feel really pretty,” she explained, “and I feel really comfortable and confident. I'm just happy, like I have a really, really fun day.”

At the Trevor Noah-hosted show, Zara was up for Best Dance Pop Recording. Lady Gaga ultimately took home the award, which was announced during the pre-show, with Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, Tate McRae and PinkPantheress rounding out the category.
And for the “Look What You’ve Done” singer, being celebrated among her peers is nothing short of a dream come true—a dream dating all the way back to her giving Grammys speeches in front of her mirror growing up.
“That's why I feel calm,” Zara noted, “because I'm just so happy to be here. And if it's not happening this year, it's gonna happen the next. And if it's not the next, it's gonna happen the year after that.”
“I just love to make music, and I love to sing, so this is really what I love,” she continued. "And all of this amazing, glamorous extra stuff is just the cherry on the cake.”
As for her younger self, Zara predicted, “She'll be very, very proud. I would like to tell her that everything happens when it's supposed to happen. And right now, I just feel really grounded and at a point where I can really take it all in and have a good time.”
