You Can Watch Prime Video's New Spider-Man Series Early Today

2 hours ago 10

Prime Video's new standalone Spider-Man series can officially be watched early today before it arrives on the streaming service. Spider-Man is Marvel's biggest hero, and, as such, has several movies and TV shows on the way. From Marvel Studios, Tom Holland's Spider-Man franchise will get its new chapter this July when Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters with a star-studded cast.

However, the MCU is far from the only franchise to feature the wall-crawler. In animation, Spidey and his Amazing Friends season 4 is airing new episodes this year, with the popular Spider-Man series already renewed for two more seasons. As for Disney+'s Marvel shows, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will arrive at some point in 2026, continuing this MCU-adjacent universe.

Also in animation is the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which will end Miles Morales' movie trilogy. It will do so by using several Spider-Man variants from previous movies in the Oscar-winning franchise, such as Oscar Isaac's Spider-Man 2099, Hailee Steinfeld's Spider-Gwen, Jake Johnson's Peter B. Parker, and Nicolas Cage's Spider-Man Noir. The latter is also very important to Spider-Man's slate of releases for another reason.

Cage stars in Prime Video's Spider-Noir, portraying a new version of Spider-Man Noir from Marvel Comics, one that goes by Ben Reilly, not Peter Parker, and is not connected to the animated Spider-Verse movies or other Marvel releases. Spider-Noir officially drops all of its eight episodes on Prime Video on Wednesday, May 27, at 12 am PT/3 am ET. However, the show can be watched early today.

Spider-Noir Is Premiering On Linear TV Before Prime Video

While Spider-Noir will only arrive on Prime Video in a couple of days, those who want to check out this exciting new Spider-Man release can do so today, on Monday, May 25. Before arriving on streaming, the show will have a linear release, with all eight episodes of Spider-Noir airing consecutively on MGM+. The first episode of the new Spider-Man series will air on MGM+ at 2:30 pm ET, with the remaining seven episodes airing one after the other until the season finale swings onto screens at 7:50 pm ET.

Spider-Noir Review: Prime Video’s New Standalone Spider-Man Series Is Nicolas Cage At His Best

Nicolas Cage's new Spider-Man series carves a corner of live-action Marvel stories for it, as Spider-Noir creatively reimagines villains and New York.

Based on that schedule, viewers would be in for quite a binge session if they want to catch Spider-Noir early. Taking into account the start time for the Spider-Man series' first episode on MGM+ and when the Spider-Noir season finale is scheduled for release, audiences would be looking at a 5.2-hour binge in order to watch all eight episodes of Spider-Noir today, two days before the standalone Marvel series airs on Prime Video. While that might be a big commitment for some, Spider-Noir is worth the binge, or at least checking out a couple of episodes early.

Why Spider-Noir Is Worth Watching

Spider-Noir is not tied to any pre-existing Marvel universe, allowing this new live-action Spider-Man series to distance itself from all that has come before for one of the most popular superhero properties in the world. In Spider-Noir, viewers are transported to a stylized 1930s New York City, which is filled with gangsters and super-powered villains. As Ben Reilly, a private eye, Nicolas Cage takes to NY's gritty streets in a fresh superhero story that will be available in both black and white and in color when it releases on Prime Video on May 27.

Ben is an aging PI who used to be a superhero in Spider-Noir, not the jovial Peter Parker Tom Holland gives life to in the MCU's Spider-Man movies. He deals with a mob boss in the form of Brendan Gleeson's Silvermane, and multiple reimagined versions of classic Marvel characters, with Spider-Noir offering new takes on Black Cat, Tombstone, Sandman, and more. With a dash of comedy mixed in with superhero action and a gorgeous noir crime story, Spider-Noir carves out a new space among Spider-Man projects for itself, making it worth watching — early or not.
