If you haven't yet thought that you can buy anything on Amazon, the company's latest innovation might change your mind.
Starting today, you can buy a brand new vehicle from a major automaker on Amazon – and get a pretty big gift in the process.
Amazon Auto offers 12 different Hyundai models for sale, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and hybrids -- 2024 and 2025 models are available. The program is open in 48 US cities, but Amazon says it's adding additional manufacturers, brands, cities, and new functionality in 2025.

Here's how the process works.
When you browse Amazon Auto (you can also search "Amazon Autos" on Amazon.com or through the mobile app), you'll see available cars within 75 miles. The cars are from local dealerships, but everything on your end is handled entirely through Amazon, meaning you don't have to deal with high-pressure sales tactics.
You can filter by model, trim, color, and features. Amazon calls the pricing "transparent," meaning there's no negotiating. Looking through the several dozen options available near me, I saw that most prices seemed to be $1,000 to $2,000 below MSRP.
If you find one you like, you can proceed with the checkout process to see how much taxes and fees will be. You'll have the chance to offer details about a trade-in if you have one, and you'll receive an instant offer that figures into the final price.
You can secure financing through Amazon's partner or pay a minimum deposit of $500 and the remaining balance in-store with funds from your bank account. Once you have financing, you'll choose a pickup time within 1 to 3 days at your dealership.
Amazon explains that cars are non-returnable upon pickup at the dealership, but they are eligible for Hyundai's 3-Day Worry-Free Exchange.

To kick off the program, Amazon is offering $2,300 in gift cards to anyone who makes a purchase by January 10.
