Anne Hathaway Hilariously Reacts After She Wore Jumpsuit Backwards
Florals? For spring? Anne Hathaway would never.
Nor would anyone looking at the pregnant star's recent slate of red carpet wear accuse The Devil Wears Prada alum of having a hideous skirt convention to go to.
Instead, the actress—who announced in June that she and husband Adam Shulman are expecting their third baby together—has turned up at her recent film premieres in maternity fashions a million girls really would kill for.
For her latest, an Aug. 9 block party for sci-fi survival film The End of Oak Street, the Oscar winner wore Atelier Prabal Gurung, pairing a custom belly-baring sculptural halterneck with low-rise jeans.
And even on the days the 43-year-old makes a perceived misstep, details of her so-called incompetence truly do interest fans.
Responding to the fashion outlets who noted she wore her cherry red Ashlyn New York jumpsuit backwards while out in New York City June 30, she posted a July 1 Instagram video acknowledging, "I did? I did...I did."
As the mom to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, most days Hathaway has to gird her loins for whatever they might throw at her. Like, literally throw at her.
"You have to be able to play pickup basketball at any point, in any outfit," she shared with People in April of her style musts. "So [I tell myself]: When you get dressed in the morning, dress wisely because you 100 percent are going to have a projectile thrown at you probably by the end of breakfast."
As for her third pregnancy, it's been the most delightful curveball yet.
"We knew what we were doing," she joked on the July 13 episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers, "but we were so shocked it worked." Which is why when it comes to her and Shulman's youngest, "We're calling this one our buzzer-beater."
Because Hathaway is well aware she's winning at life.
"I am one of the luckiest people on the planet Earth," the star told Justin Sylvester during the Live from E! Stream at the July 14 premiere of The Odyssey. "I met my soulmate, and we decided to get married and have a family."
