Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2 ended with some cliffhangers, a time jump, and more excitement than most series have in a whole season. One of the many Hindi language dramas that have come to Netflix in recent years, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein is a romantic crime thriller that premiered in January 2022, with season 2 coming almost two years later in November 2024. The series stars Tahir Raj Bhasin as Vikrant Singh Chauhan, a man living a dangerous life in India who has been forced into a marriage with the daughter of a crime lord named Akheraj (Saurabh Shukla).

Akheraj Still Does Not Know Vikrant Is Responsible For Purva's Kidnapping

At the end of season 2, Akheraj is still not aware that his son-in-law is responsible for his daughter's kidnapping, and he continues to work with Vikrant to free Purva from her abductors: Jalan (Arunnoday Singh) and Sherpa (Varun Badola). Vikrant desires to be with his real love, Shikha (Shweta Tripathi), but Akheraj will kill Vikrant if he learns that Vikrant set Purva up. So, Vikrant must convince Akheraj to pay the ransom for Purva, so Sherpa keeps quiet. However, Akheraj asks an old friend, and an old lover of Purva's, Guru (Gurmeet Choudhary) for help.

Guru discovers Vikrant's part in the kidnapping but still does not know how Shikha factors in. Guru nearly succeeds in rescuing Purva, but Vikrant's meddling stops him. Out of options, and with an incensed Jalan threatening bodily harm to Purva, Akheraj backs down from the kidnappers and agrees to pay off the kidnappers to get his daughter home safely. Everything falls right in line with Vikrant's plans.

Purva Escapes From Jalan And Sherpa

Purva Is A Talented Martial Artist

Purva has other ideas, however, and decides she's no longer going to wait around for her father's help to escape her capture. Unbeknownst to Shepra and Jalan, Purva is a capable martial artist. She uses her fighting skills to escape the compound, gunning down Jalan and Sherpa's men as she goes. Guru then arrives just in time to pick her up. As they flee from the pursuing gangsters, Purva falls off a cliff, but at the last second, she's saved by Vikrant, a surprise as this would be the perfect opportunity for Vikrant to get rid of Purva for good.

Everything that's happened in Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein has been because of Vikrant's desire to kill his wife so that he can be with his real love, Shikha. Yet, he saves Purva right when he has an excuse to kill her. The difference may be a revelation about Purva earlier in the season. A doctor announces that Purva is pregnant with Vikrant's child, news that greatly upsets Shikha. Vikrant may have been willing to kill his wife, but murdering the mother of his child seems to be a step too far.

Purva Blames Shikha For Killing Her Friend

Shikha and Purva's stories come together at the end of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2 when the two rivals face each other down. The vitriol extends mostly from Purva's side as she sees Shikha as the reason Vikrant has never truly loved her, and getting rid of her will force Vikrant to have eyes only for Purva. Furthermore, Purva blames Shikha for the death of Dharmesh (Surya Sharma), Akheraj's adopted henchman and close friend to Purva.

The two women face off in front of a guesthouse towards the end of the Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2 finale. They glower at one another, but before anything more is revealed, the scene cuts away, leaving a big cliffhanger for season 3. There was another shocking revelation that occurred at the end of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2. At the beginning of the season, Purva is told that her mother died years ago after sacrificing herself to save her daughter from armed men chasing them. Though Purva does not remember her mother well, she has always held out hope that she had somehow survived the tragic events of her childhood. This confirmation is a blow to Purva, who is already struggling to maintain hope while under guard from Jalan and Sherpa.

However, in the season 2 finale, Sherpa reveals he has had a hidden agenda for kidnapping Purva. He wants to reunite her with her mother, who he reveals to be alive. Sadly, Purva's mother is suffering from a terminal illness, and she doesn't have much time left. It's left unclear how Sherpa is related to Purva's mother, and it's possible, considering his age, that he is actually Purva's biological father. Purva And Vikrant Seem To Have Put Aside Their Differences

The end of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein season 2 does not stop with Vikrant rescuing Purva. Instead, the original Hindi drama show jumps an indeterminate amount of time into the future. Vikrant is in an unknown location, shooting at an army of men bearing down on him. He's hit by a bullet and collapses. The camera pans to show a collapsed, but alive, Purva, who is still pregnant. The couple reach out and hold each other's hands as they share a look and season 2 ends.

From the looks of it, Vikrant has chosen Purva over Shikha. Perhaps she and Vikrant have run away from Purva's father, and he's sent his men after them. Vikrant has gone through a lot to get rid of Purva and be with Shikha, so it would be a shock if this stinger suggests he's fallen in love with Purva. It's possible that Shikha is also in the hideout and Vikrant is just doing right by his family, protecting everyone, including Shikha, from people who would seek to destroy them.
