The groundbreaking proposal, designated as AMM Swappable Curves, establishes an innovative framework for XRP Ledger liquidity pool architecture. Core developers Denis Angell and Roman Thpt crafted this specification to significantly enhance XRPL’s decentralized finance capabilities. The standard empowers pool architects to implement various curve models when establishing new liquidity venues.
Current AMM infrastructure relies on the constant-product mechanism, distributing liquidity uniformly throughout all price points. While this approach effectively accommodates volatile digital assets, it proves inefficient for stable trading pairs. Consequently, this innovative architecture introduces multiple curve options tailored to distinct asset behaviors and trading characteristics.
The specification maintains backward compatibility with existing XLS-30 pools, eliminating the need for liquidity migration procedures. Following amendment ratification, newly created pools can leverage additional curve options. Network validators must enable the featureAMMCurves amendment before implementation across the ledger.
StableSwap Integration and Concentrated Liquidity Transform Pool Mechanics
The StableSwap mechanism specifically addresses assets maintaining near-equivalent valuations, including stablecoins and tokenized fiat currencies.
