XRP 300% Candle Claim Faces Reality Check

10 hours ago 5

TLDR

  • ScamDaddy rejects claims that XRP could record a 300% daily candle.
  • XRP previously gained 173.71% in one 24-hour period during April 2017.
  • A 300% rise from $1.49 would send XRP to about $5.96.
  • XRP would need to gain more than 67,000% to reach $1,000.
  • A $1,000 XRP price would imply a market value near $63 trillion.

ScamDaddy has rejected two bullish XRP forecasts circulating on X, including a 300% daily candle and a $1,000 price this year. His response focuses attention on the size of the moves required compared with XRP’s historical trading record. Recent price action remains far smaller.

XRP 300% Daily Candle Claim Draws Pushback

XRP community member Seer raised the possibility of a sudden 300% daily move, pointing to April 2017. ScamDaddy rejected that scenario, stating that XRP would never record a 300% daily candle. The exchange followed renewed debate over whether large crypto rallies can repeat at higher valuations.

Quant’s recent surge helped fuel that discussion. QNT rose from about $65 to above $350 within roughly one week, but its strongest reported daily gains ranged from about 87% to 145%. Recent XRP market coverage also showed XRP holding near $1.50 while traders watched the $1.53 to $1.60 resistance area.

Historical XRP Data Shows the Scale

XRP has recorded triple-digit daily gains before. CoinMarketCap data for April 2, 2017, showed a 173.71% 24-hour increase near $0.061. Another dataset placed the open-to-close gain close to 200%. Neither reading shows a 300% daily increase.

At a price near $1.49, a 300% gain would lift XRP to about $5.96 in one day. With roughly 63.09 billion tokens circulating, that price would produce a market value near $376 billion if supply stayed unchanged. XRP Ledger activity has also grown, with x402 payments recently passing 10 million.

$1,000 XRP Forecast Faces Similar Math

ScamDaddy also challenged a separate $1,000 XRP forecast. Aussie XRP said the token would reach that level this year while quoting Zach Rector. Rector’s original comments took a different position, saying he expected a strong fourth quarter but did not expect XRP to reach $1,000 by year-end.

The $1,000 XRP forecast has appeared elsewhere in recent market discussion. From about $1.49, XRP would need to gain more than 67,000% to reach that price. At the current circulating supply, a $1,000 price would place XRP’s market value near $63 trillion.

Neither forecast included a defined technical setup showing how XRP could reach those levels. Historical data confirms that XRP has produced unusually large moves, especially when its price and market value were much lower. Current valuation makes the required dollar increase far larger than during its early trading years.
