Xbox Offering Free Call Of Duty Game For 24 More Hours

Call of Duty is one of the most interesting top-selling franchises around. Not strictly in terms of the content of each game per se, but its inevitability of annual entries, and its impact on the gaming industry in general.

If you're at all interested in the Call of Duty series and own an Xbox, this might be the best weekend to give it a shot. As detailed on the Xbox Wire blog, you have another day to do it before the offer is gone completely.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 Is Free Until March 9

You Can Try Multiple Modes

For another day, you can play Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 for free on Xbox. There is no requirement to be an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, as Black Ops 7 and FBC: Firebreak are completely free to try through March 9. Both of them are shooters, complementing each other nicely with wildly different approaches and progression systems.

Here's what's included in this massive free trial for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7:

• 25+ multiplayer maps via the standard PVP mode
• Zombies Mode

While not every mode is included, I can heartily recommend trying out multiplayer and zombies while you have the chance. Both are pretty expansive at this point with many maps and submodes to choose from; but you will be missing out slightly on the Season 2 Reloaded update, which hits on March 11.

Since it's free for everyone, it's more feasible to recruit people for a few runs if you need something to play this weekend. While Black Ops 7 hasn't had the best reception due to the fan reaction from multiple modes, these two are essentially the beating heart of the game, and have a lot of content to tear through for free.

Thankfully, Microsoft has given an exact time for when this promotion ends: March 9 at 10AM PT. It's a bit of an extension compared to the other games that have already expired today.

Thereare going to be a lot of people online trying out Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, so it should be easy to group up and get a little more out of it with others. While finding games is generally easy in any given Call of Duty release (even older games have an active community), it should be even quicker with everyone pouring in, including lapsed fans.

Make sure you check it out fast, though, as you now have a day left to take advantage of this offer on Xbox. If you start soon, you can likely eat through a chunk of what the game trial has to offer.
