Xbox Game Pass shows no signs of slowing down in April. The month has already seen a number of drops, and there are even more day-one releases on the way before the month ends. Now, the newest day-one release on Game Pass is already causing quite a stir among people who've played it.
In fact, some players are now warning that it's "insanely addictive" and discussing what makes the game so hard to put down. Over on Reddit, a number of people were discussing what makes this new Xbox Game Pass game so addictive — jokingly and otherwise. "Do not fear the addiction," wrote one user, "let all your free time go, you cannot resist."
Xbox Game Pass' Latest Freebie Is A Hit
While that might sound like a warning, most of the comments in this Reddit thread seemed impressed by the highly-addictive gameplay mechanics. The game is Vampire Crawlers, a sort of spin-off made by the same folks behind Vampire Survivors (an excellent series in its own right), that uses card-based combat and deckbuilding to progress.
Deckbuilders are always some of the most addictive games out there, and it seems like fans of Vampire Crawlers just can't get enough of it. "First time in a while I looked at the time and thought, one more run? That was 2 hours ago," wrote one user on Reddit.
"I am absolutely HOOKED!" wrote another fan of the newest Game Pass game. "It's amazing, simply amazing."
Going through the original thread, it's hard to find anyone who isn't saying this about Vampire Crawlers. If you don't have an Xbox Game Pass subscription, then you'll need to pay up, but Vampire Crawlers is reasonably priced at just $9.99. Considering how glowing early reviews are, that seems well worth the price of admission.
Vampire Crawlers May Consume Your Life, Be Warned
As numerous players have warned, Vampire Crawlers is really fun and addictive. Considering how long it takes to Vampire Crawlers, you can expect to invest quite a bit of time and effort into getting through it all. Honestly, the most difficult part of this whole thing might just be forcing yourself to put it down. There's also a free demo on Steam if you don't have Game Pass but want to check the game out before buying it.
Vampire Crawlers is a huge win for poncle and Nosebleed Interactive, and looking at its overwhelmingly positive reviews, it's a win for gamers too. If you've got Xbox Game Pass, then you can play it at no additional cost. We'll put that one in the win column as well.
