Plus a derided Call of Duty and... not much else
Image: EA Canada, EA Romania/Electronic ArtsAmid the potential closing of its studios Compulsion Games, Ninja Theory, and Double Fine, Xbox revealed its next wave of titles hitting Game Pass, and it's kind of a weak one. EA Sports FC 26, EA's latest soccer game, leads a lineup that also includes a Call of Duty misfire and more.
EA Sports FC 26 features over 20,000 licensed players from over 750 national teams and clubs. It boasts "the most true-to-football experience ever" in its Career mode, where you create your own customized footballer. Cobble together your personal football Dream Team in Ultimate Team and compete in Live Events and tournaments. EA Sports FC 26 lands on Xbox Game Pass just as the FIFA World Cup 2026 starts heating up, though you can't actually complete in the World Cup in FC 26 as EA no longer has the FIFA license.
Also arriving is Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest entry to set the fray in World War II. You know what it's all about: run and gun your way through a campaign stretched across the fronts in the Pacific, Europe, and North Africa before testing your mettle in Vanguard's PvP multiplayer modes. Vanguard also features a Zombies mode set in WWII. The 2021 entry received a mixed reception with only a 51% critics recommended score on OpenCritic.
