A new free game has been released on Xbox Game Pass, and it’s already a smash hit on other platforms that you may want to check out if you’re a member of Microsoft’s subscription service. March is proving to be a great month for the service. On March 5, for example, Xbox Game Pass got a day-one release that is a sequel to a 2023 indie hit that you should definitely try playing, but there’s still a lot more in store this month.

This includes a few titles that have already been made available for members. Incorporated into the Xbox Game Pass catalog on March 4, EA Sports F1 25 is now available for a select number of subscribers. The information was officially revealed on Xbox Wire. The game’s inclusion represents one of the very first new titles being incorporated into the subscription service in March, though a few had come before and many more will follow.

F1 25 Has Arrived On Xbox Game Pass

The EA Sports Game Is Available For Ultimate Members

EA Sports F1 25 is one of the many Xbox Game Pass additions in March 2026, but there is a catch to it. The racing simulator is only available for members of the Ultimate or PC Game Pass tiers, which means that members of the Essential and Premium tiers cannot play the Formula One-inspired game by Electronic Arts. The racing game can be played on Xbox Series X/S consoles, PC, and via Microsoft’s cloud gaming service.

In the new free game on Xbox Game Pass, you are able to lead your own team in the 2025 FA Formula One World Championship and, of course, race to the top of both the Drivers and Constructors titles. The game also features the My Team game mode that allows you to operate as the team principal, managing the drivers and overseeing the car development to create the best racing machines on the grid.

Ultimate members can take advantage of a benefit that is exclusive to them. They can play EA Sports F1 25 via EA Play, and by doing this, grab a 5,000 XP Boost that is available until March 31.

With the inclusion of EA Sports F1 25 to the catalog in early March, it’s very likely that it will remain available for Ultimate and PC Game Pass members until at least March 2027. Usually, games that are added to Game Pass stick around for a year or so.

It's Been Positively Reviewed On Steam

EA Sports F1 25 Is Beloved By Its Players

The game is well-evaluated by its players, both fans of Formula One and just general racing fans. On Steam, EA Sports F1 25 has a Very Positive review status, with 87% Positive reviews at the time of writing. Even if you’re not typically a fan of racing games and aren’t looking forward to the release of Forza Horizon 6, for example, you may find joy in this Formula One-inspired game.

This is especially true if you’re a fan of Drive to Survive, one of the best Netflix shows to binge-watch over a weekend. A lot of what you see on the reality TV show is applied to the game, so you may feel at home, knowing all of the iconic tracks and last season’s drivers. As such, I highly recommend checking out this new Xbox Game Pass benefit.
