What Is ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ About?
Co-written by Yash and Mohandas, Toxic is a decade-spanning tale of crime and revenge at the end of Indian colonialism. Delivering a commanding performance in a dual role, Yash headlines the saga as Raya and Ticket, father and son on opposing sides, in this tale of loyalty, morality, and the fight for redemption in a violent world. This high-octane film not only boasts cinematic scale and a sprawling runtime of two hours and 48 minutes, but it also features the stylized action of legendary stunt designer J.J. Perry (John Wick).
In Toxic, though independence is sweeping across India, Goa is still under the thumb of the Portuguese. During a period of unrest, years before liberation, Raya must fight through the ranks of a criminal organization, vying for power over the city’s underworld. As he progresses, however, Raya realizes his own ambition and is confronted with the true price of power. Toxic also features India’s megastars Nayanthara (Jawan), Kiara Advani (Kabir Singh), Tara Sutaria (Student of the Year 2), Rukmini Vasanth (Kantara: Chapter 1), and Huma Qureshi (Army of the Dead).
Keep an eye out for an email from us. Only confirmed RSVP’s will gain admittance to the screening.
