Will Arnett has revealed a 'very famous' comedian was shown the door after just 10 minutes on his podcast for being an 'a**hole.'

The actor, 55, has revealed they terminated an interview with the insufferable guest shortly after the episode began.

Arnett didn't offer any details about what exactly the unknown guest did to be shown the door, other than being 'f**king rank a**hole.'

Arnett, who hosts SmartLess with Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes, revealed the drama during an appearance on The Romesh Ranganathan Show.

'One other very famous comedian - who I'll tell you after who is a f**king rank a**hole - recently and we cut him off after 10 minutes and said, "Thanks so much," and ditched him,' he claimed.

Arnett provided no clues as to the man's identity, aside from him being well-known.

'You’ll be blown away by who it is... Because you’ll be like, "How did you get Bill Cosby!"' he said.

Since 2020, Smartless has gained a hefty following while interviewing world leaders, music stars and Hollywood execs, and staging live events.

The trio launched SmartLess as a weekly show in 2020, and it quickly became one of the most popular podcasts in America - ranked sixth in the US by Apple for 2025.

It followed only Crime Junkie, The Daily by the New York Times, and Dateline NBC, The Joe Rogan Experience, and The Mel Robbins Podcast for the most-listened to pod that year.

In 2023, the three hosts inked a $100 million deal for Sirius XM to gain some exclusive rights to the podcast for three years, Bloomberg reported in 2024.

The agreement was part of a wider contract between the streaming company and SmartLess Media, giving Sirius the rights to distribute and sell ads for the podcast and other programs including Bad Dates.

SmartLess was among the nominees for the Golden Globes' inaugural best podcast category last month.

The show lost out to the podcast hosted by Arnett's ex-wife Amy Poehler, Good Hang With Amy Poehler.

Since launching in 2020, Smartless has hosted a slew of stars such as then-president Joe Biden

The show was launched just before COVID lockdowns forced everyone to remain at home and was initially thought of as a way for the men to remain in touch.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last year, the trio revealed they had conceived of the podcast prior to the pandemic hitting.

'They called me and said, "Listen, we're doing this thing together." We actually met a week before the world went crazy with the shutting down and everything,' Arnett said.

'Then we were separated. We were like, "Hey, this is a great way for us to stay in touch with each other." So, we kind of put it together during during that time when everybody was at home.'

The podcast isn't the only project Arnett is currently working on.

He is the star of the new film Is This Thing On?, a story about marriage and self-discovery, loosely inspired by the life of British comedian John Bishop.

The film follows Arnett's character, Alex, as he faces an impending divorce from his wife, Tess.

As their marriage quietly unravels, Alex seeks new purpose in the New York comedy scene while Tess confronts the sacrifices she made for their family.

Their decisions force them to navigate co-parenting, identity, and the question of whether love can take a new form.
