Heidi Klum’s Halloween 2026 Costume Is Simply Out of Hand
Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween Party wasn’t quite all hands on deck this year.
Though the supermodel continued to prove she’s the Queen of Halloween, walking the red carpet at Cathédrale Restaurant in New York Oct. 31 as a severed hand, her husband Tom Kaulitz wasn’t, well, on hand to complement the look. However, Klum, whose costume was fashioned after her own left hand, shared insight into what the Tokio Hotel member was up to instead.
“My husband he couldn't be here today because he's on tour right now, and I'm going to join him on tour,” she told Entertainment Tonight at the event after pointing out her engagement rings and wedding band. “But he couldn't be here today, so you know he's always with me.”
She also made sure to include a special tribute, writing "Tom" inside her IRL ring finger, sharing a pic with the caption, "Tom i miss you."
Kaulitz’s band released their latest album Encore on Oct. 25, with the group—fronted by his twin brother Bill Kaulitz—traveling around their native Germany as well as several other European stops throughout late October and November.
But even without her right-hand man with her, Klum was ready to steal the show—yet again.
"I mean literally, my left hand inspired me,” she exclusively told E! News on the red carpet. “I looked at my hand and I was thinking, ‘How can I fit my body into this hand? There must be a way,’ and we found a way to put my body into a hand.”

The Project Runway star—who shares kids Leni, 22, with ex Flavio Briatore, as well as Henry, 21, Johan, 19, and Lou, 16, with ex Seal—previously teased she would have a horror-ful transformation this year, saying she planned for their look to be “very, very bloody.”
“That’s what Halloween is all about,” she told People in September. “We go gory, and we go there.”
And no matter what hex-tra special look Klum has in mind, Kaulitz is on board, like when he dressed up as a warrior turned to stone alongside Klum’s Medusa at last year’s bash.
"This year wasn't that difficult, but sometimes it is," he told E! News at the time. "Last year we did E.T., for example, it was difficult. Like, OK, are we going to be both E.T. or one female version? I always have to come up with something that matches."
But when Klum was Medusa, he noted, "There's not much I could do other than being the man who got into stone… So that's me and I think they did an amazing job."
Every year, the couple starts planning far in advance, with Kaulitz telling E! in 2024 about prepping their E.T. costumes for a whole year.
“It took a whole team of amazing people,” he said. “And lots of planning.”
And of course, Klum has made it her mission to throw a fang-tastic Halloween party every year.
“Over the years, people have become increasingly more outrageous with their costumes,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2018. “The party has become almost legendary. It's epic. I feel like my love for Halloween has made other people fall in love with the holiday, too."
