Gypsy Rose Blanchard Gives Postpartum Update After Welcoming First Child With Boyfriend Ken Urker
Gypsy Rose Blanchard is keeping photos of her baby on lockdown.
Just days after the 33-year-old welcomed her first baby with husband Ken Urker, a girl named Aurora, Gypsy is setting boundaries with her fans.
“To everyone asking, No, I will not be posing pictures of Aurora,” she wrote on her Instagram Story Jan. 5. “I understand everyone’s excitement and we appreciate the support, but we value the privacy and safety of our daughter.”
She added, alongside a red heart, “We continue to express love towards our supporters and thank you for following our journey.”
Ken first shared his and Gypsy’s happy news on Jan. 1, writing underneath a picture of him holding their baby, “Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all.”
Though the couple waited until the new year to share baby Aurora with the world, TMZ reported the little girl was born on Dec. 28 in Louisiana—exactly one year after her early release from prison where she was serving time for her role in her mom Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard's 2015 murder.
And while their family had to bite their tongues for a few days, once the news was public, Gypsy’s dad Rod Blanchard and stepmom Kristy Blanchard were thrilled to revel in the happy news, writing on Ken’s post, “Now we can scream it out to the world.”
Meanwhile, for her part, Gypsy shared her own update with followers two days later.

"Almost a week postpartum," she wrote on her Instagram Story, alongside a selfie showing off a soft smile and beige tank top. "Feeling more energized."
During her pregnancy, Gypsy often shared updates with her followers, including insight into her journey, from noticing her baby kicked more often at night to realizing eating sweets made for a more active baby.
She also reflected on how expecting a baby made her realize what kind of mother she wanted to be: the one she always wanted for herself.
"I have so much to focus on, making sure that I'm healthy for this baby," she said in a July interview with Good Morning America. "There’s this tiny little life that is inside of you and that little tiny life is a baby, a little tiny human that’s yours and that you have to make sure you protect, you love, you take care of, and all of the things that I wished I could’ve had when I was little.”
She continued, “All the things that I wanted in a mother, I’m going to give to this baby."
