RHOSLC's Mary Cosby Shares Devastating Tribute to Son Robert Days After His Death
Andy Cohen is sending lots of love to the Cosby family.
Several weeks after The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby's son Robert Cosby Jr. died following a battle with drug addiction, the Watch What Happens Live host shared why he wasn't in attendance at the 23-year-old's funeral service on March 7.
"I had so many things to do with the kids this weekend, a lot of commitments," Andy—who is dad to kids Ben, 7, and Lucy, 3—shared on the March 9 episode of his SiruisXM radio show Andy Cohen Live, "which is why I actually was not able to go to Robert Jr.'s service on Saturday in Salt Lake City. I got a full report, though, and I hear it was an absolutely incredible ceremony."
While the 57-year-old wasn't present, Mary's fellow Housewives Kyle Richards, Cynthia Bailey and Shereé Whitfield did support in person, as well as members of the RHOSLC crew and cast, which includes Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Bronwyn Newport, Whitney Rose, Angie Katsanevas and Britani Bateman.
Giving a special shout-out to Kyle, Cynthia and Shereé, Andy added, "I love it that they went. I think that is so kind. They are real ones, those three."
Andy also relayed how Mary—the First Lady of Salt Lake City's Faith Temple Pentecostal Church—tapped into her pastor roots for the celebration honoring her late son.
"I hear that the service was so uplifting and so moving and absolutely, kind of, rapturous,” he stated. "And Mary was on one, I mean, in a spiritual way. She was spiritually on one, let me say that."

Andy concluded by sharing that Kyle informed him that Robert Jr.’s father, Robert Cosby Sr., delivered a speech that was "unbelievable."
Robert Jr. was found dead on Feb. 23 after officers "responded to a possible overdose," a spokesperson for the Salt Lake City Police Department previously told E! News. The medical examiner is still investigating the cause of death.
"Our beloved son Robert Jr. has been called home to the Lord," Mary said in a Feb. 25 statement to TMZ. "Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace. We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow."
Days after confirming her son's passing, Mary shared a heartbreaking tribute to the late 23-year-old.
“#godfirst #love #forever,” Mary captioned a throwback photo of the pair on Instagram Feb. 28. “I'm Going to miss you bubs."
