Who is Mel C's new younger model boyfriend Chris Dingwall? Meet the Australian hunk dating the Spice Girl as they take romance up a notch with steamy Ibiza getaway

Mel C was swept off her feet by new model boyfriend Chris Dingwall, after signing up on the dating site Hinge following her split from her producer ex Joe Marshall.

Since the couple went public with their romance in June at Glastonbury Festival, the smitten duo have been inseparable ever since. 

It's unclear where the pair met, but Mel embarked on an extensive DJ tour in Australia back in May. 

Mel, 50, and Chris, who is believed to be in his 40s, are currently enjoying a romantic getaway in Ibiza and have been seen packing on the PDA on a steamy boat ride.

But who actually is the Aussie hunk dating the iconic superstar? Here, MailOnline shares everything you need to know about Chris. 

Who is Chris Dingwall?

Chris, who is from Sydney NSW, is signed with modelling agencies Ford Models and Chadwick.

The Aussie bombshell often travels the world for glamorous photoshoots - so won't have much trouble keeping up with Mel's busy lifestyle travelling.

An online biography for the model explains that Chris has 'over 20 years of print, commercial and film work with some of the worlds best brands' under his belt - suggesting he is in his 40s.

As well as modelling, Chris is also an actor, writer and director for film and television.

He has helmed a handful of short films, including the St Kilda Film Festival entry Oasis, in which he also starred in.

He additionally directed two episodes of the Australian miniseries Brock, about car racing legend Peter Brock, and has a number of upcoming film projects in post-production. 

How did Chris and Mel meet?

Mel finally went public with her new man in summer after months of speculation about their romance.

The exact reason why the couple struck up a relationship hasn't been revealed, but rumours spread they met in Australia in May when Mel visited for her tour.

Mel keeps her love life largely out of the spotlight but previously spoke about how she was banned from dating in the early days of the Spice Girls - while her bandmates were free to pursue romances. 

'Looking back what struck me was it was one rule for one and another for the others, right?' she previously said.

'I think when you are vulnerable as well, people go, I don't think it's good for you'.

Mel said the rule for the other women was, 'she is fine, she can have a boyfriend, she can cope with having a boyfriend, she is strong enough but you are not'.

'It makes you question yourself when you are already vulnerable,' Mel added.

What have the couple been up to so far?

Currently, Mel and Chris have been enjoying a summer break in Ibiza together and enjoyed a string of activities.

Last week on their trip, she and Chris shared a steamy kiss during a PDA-filled boat ride on the island.

The loved-up couple couldn't take their hands off of each other during their romantic getaway. 

In July, Mel cosied up to Chris as they enjoyed a day out at Wimbledon in south west London.

Who did Mel C date before Chris?

Mel was previously in a seven-year relationship with Joe, but the former couple called it quits in the summer of 2022.

She previously has a famous fling with Robbie Williams around 1997. 

Before her romance with Chris, Mel revealed she joined dating app Hinge following her split from her producer ex-boyfriend Joe Marshall in 2022.

However, she swerved celebrity dating apps such as Raya in favour of signing up for the more humble Hinge. 

Speaking on the Not My Bagg with Joe & George Baggs podcast, Mel revealed although she has joined, she wasn't having much luck.

She told the hosts: 'What is it about Hinge? I'm single, and I'm having a little look around, it's slim pickings.

'There seem to be loads of hot girls but all the hot guys are gay.'

Mel began dating Joe in 2015 - with the pair even living together in North London.

Following the split, it was claimed that the star was 'not afraid to be single', as busy schedules got in the way of her romance.
