Where To Find (& Catch) Cherrim In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

3 weeks ago 19

Cherrim is one of the trickiest Pokémon to catch in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, and you will need to catch it at some point to complete your Pokédex. Eventually, you will also get a request called "To Bloom or Not to Bloom,” which will also task you to catch a Cherrim. The key to catching a Cherrim is knowing where and how exactly you can find it.

Cherrim's spawn rate is quite low and not as common as other Pokémon, so if you plan on catching it, you will need a bit of patience. Alternatively, you can also get a Cherrim via evolution, which is slightly easier than catching it. Cherrim will spawn in three different areas across the Hisui region: the Obsidian Fieldlands, Coronet Highlands, and Crimson Mirelands.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A Should Put A New Spin On A Core Legends: Arceus Feature

One core Pokémon Legends: Arceus feature is almost certain to be a part of Legends: Z-A, but it should be given a new spin to fit the new game.

If you are looking to find Cherrim, you can find them in the following areas listed below:

Region

Exact Location

Obsidian Fieldlands

Heartwood

Crimson Mirelands

Gapejaw Bog

Coronet Highlands

Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, and Primeval Grotto

This means you have a fair amount of choices when it concerns catching Cherrim, but there are a couple of different ways to actually catch one once you find it as well.

How To Find Cherrim In Trees

What To Do Once Cherrim Is Found

Once you are in one of the locations where you can find a Cherrim, you will need to throw one of your Pokémon at a shaking tree with blue leaves. These trees have a significantly higher chance of spawning a Cherrim, so the best location to find one is in Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Coronet Highlands region. Specifically, Cherrim can be found in the Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, and Primeval Grotto.

You can also turn off the automatic save setting and manually save Pokémon Legends: Arceus to bypass having to return to Jubilife Village if you didn't find Cherrim among the trees.

After checking all the appropriate trees, return to Jubilife Village in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and then back to the Coronet Highlands in order to reset the spawns.

Two Easy Ways To Acquire Cherrim

The easiest way to get a Cherrim in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is to evolve Cherubi in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which requires raising Cherubi’s level to 25. Alternatively, catching a Cherrim from the wild requires players to be careful when battling the Pokémon.

Since Cherrim is weak to Fire-, Ice-, Flying-, Poison- and Bug-type attacks, the safest way to capture a Cherrim is by using a Pokémon that has learned the move “False Swipe.” This will enable you to drop Cherrim’s health down to 1 HP, making it far easier to catch the Pokémon with an Ultra Ball.

All Research Tasks For Cherrim

Getting The Perfect Pokédex Entry

Cherrim, the only Flower Gift user

In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, just catching a Pokémon once is not enough. Instead, players must complete several research tasks to unlock the entry and complete all of them to unlock the perfect entry. This is true with every Pokémon, but it is harder with one like Cherrim, which is hard to both find and catch. This is because most of the research tasks require you to find a Cherrim in the wild, and the others will require you to see Cherrim perform certain moves. The research tasks are as follows:

  • Number caught - 15
  • Number caught during the daylight hours - 10
  • Number defeated - 5
  • Times you have seen it use Petal Dance - 40
  • Times you have seen it use an agile move - 15
  • Number you have seen leap out of trees - 15

You only have to get to research level 10 to unlock the entry, and if you look around for shaking trees during the day, you are likely to fulfill the daylight hours and leaping out of trees requests quickly. However, if you want to get the perfect entry, you will have to spend more time in the wild to get it. Coronet Highlands and the Crimson Mirelands have the highest appearance rates if you want it quickly.

However you choose to go about it, and whether you go for perfection or just unlocking the entry, you will have a fun but challenging time in your quest to find a Cherrim. With any luck, you will be quite the pro at catching a Cherrim in Pokémon Legends: Arceus by the time you've completed the research tasks.
