Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ star Whitney Leavitt candidly detailed her falling out with Jen Affleck—and shared where they stand—in an exclusive interview with E! News ahead of the March 12 premiere.
Dancing With the Stars' Whitney Leavitt Responds to Jen Affleck’s “Wild” Allegation About Her
Whitney Leavitt is dancing past the drama.
While the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star has been candid about the difficulties she and Jen Affleck faced after the two appeared on season 34 of Dancing With the Stars last fall, she’s revealing where the two stand now.
“I’ve definitely taken a huge step back in that relationship,” Whitney exclusively told E! News Will Marfuggi during a joint interview with costars Mayci Neeley and Mikayla Matthews, “but I'm moving on.”
The 32-year-old added, “I hope she can do the same and just be cordial.”
Whitney and Jen’s relationship took a turn during the dance competition, with Jen—who along with partner Jan Ravnik was eliminated in week seven—admitting they struggled to keep their focus on Mirrorball Trophy without the Mormon Wives drama as a distraction.
"Because being on Dancing With the Stars was a dream of both of ours, we—at least for me—just wanted to make that experience only positive and leave the drama for our other show," the 26-year-old told E! News in November. "Unfortunately, there were moments where it was hard [for it not to] bleed into Dancing With the Stars.”
Jen said at the time she too was interested in taking “a step back,” adding, “Unfortunately, some things happened.”

Still, Whitney never felt like she was consciously stepping on Jen’s toes.
"That's wild," she said of Jen's comments on the Call Her Daddy podcast later that month. "I always wanted to be a part of this show. I think that everybody can have the same dream. And I'm so happy that we both got to do that."
Since the fallout, Whitney—who made it to the semi-final round of DWTS along with partner Mark Ballas—has kept her relationship with Jen on the back burner, sharing that the two don't have a very close friendship.
All 10 episodes of season four of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are currently streaming on Hulu.
